Stevens pov

I sighed in relief when I concluded my conference call, gulping down a glass of water to calm my nerves.

I walked out of my office to my wife's office. But even after I walked in and sat for over two minutes she didn't notice me, this means she is lost somewhere, what is wrong with her.

" Oh my God I would die, save me" I said dramatically placing my hand on my chest and coughing unnecessarily.

" Hey, what's wrong, have some water, calm down" Aria hurried over to my side with a glass of water. I held her hand and look her in thr eye, " I don't need water, I need my wife's attention" I teased her.

" You are too much, got me worried unnecessarily" she said but a smile graced her lips.

" Am not , your attention was lost somewhere hence my heart was going to explode" I teased further.

She sat across me, worry lines gracing her beautiful face again. " Am seriously worried about our daughter Selena, I think she is involved with a bad company" Aria blurted.

It was this topic again, we are all concerned about selenas drastically changing behavior. " What happened" I asked holding her hand.

" Well this morning she came out dressing really vulgar for her age and says it was fashion, I chided her and made her change but she was extremely rude, am worried if this isn't addresses properly it might be come something bigger" she explained her concern legit.

" Don't worry, I would have a word with her, I would pick her up from school when the day ends and have a word with her, would that relief you" I asked.

She smiled and i was happy to see her smile, " you are such a sweetheart, thank you" she said and hugged me.

We talked nas romanced for a while before I went back to my office. When I noticed it was almost time for the girls school to end, I got up and went directly to the school to pick her up.

I was waiting in the parking area when I saw Selena walking with a group of girls and boys. The girls all looked the sort of, 'bad girls' with crazy styles, weird tattoos, piercings and hair color.

Some of them were decent, and they was guy that had his arm around Selena's shoulder. She had removed the pink sweater and was holding it and was left with only the high waisted jeans and a crop lighter shade of pink top crop.

I was furious with how the guys arm was around her, and he looked more like a thug than a school going teenage boy, he had all this piercings and tattoo, wearing a vest and sagged trousers and tying a bandana on his head.

I walked towards them in unhurried steps, as I stood five feet's from them they all stoped walking and looked at me, I looked at the guys arm around Selena's shoulder, " your hands off my daughter" I warned him in a tone that even a fool would understand.

" Pops chill, it's nothing big, no need to overreact. This is my boyfriend Joshua, so he is allowed to place his hand on my shoulder in the least right" Selena said jumping to the guys defend.

" Am not understanding two things. How can you have a boyfriend now, you are just 14, moreover this thug like boy, I don't like him and am sure your mother wouldn't like him as well, so now put your sweater back on and get to the car, I would go and get lily" I said.

" Looks like you got to deal with your daddy now, see you later bebs" the guy Joshua said removing his hand from her arm. " I always knew she is still a baby" a pink haired girl.

I gave her a menacing look and she walked away with the other girls laughing. Selena looked like she was about to explode as she matched angrily to the car, I gave her time to cool down and went to get lily.

As we were in the car driving Selena didn't even look at me and was just typing away in her phone, lily sat at the back sit reading poems.

" Sel, can we talk" I asked her. " Do you wanna scold me further, you can go ahead" she replied without even looking at me.

" No, I don't wanna scold you, I want to talk to you, let's understand eachother. What's wrong with you Selena, you are changing so much and it's affecting your mom and I, we are really concerned about you" I told her as a matter of fact.

" If you all are really concerned about me then let me live my life, let me find my own path and give me my freedom. I was earlier teased by my friends today because of my childish dressing, and now I would be ridiculed and trolled because of the stunt you just pulled" she complained.

" Sweetheart we are not stopping you from living your life or having freedom, but you need to realize that the path you are treading now is dangerous, it's not good, you need to change okay, all those people you call your friends are just a bad influence in your life. They also need some good advice and parenting otherwise their lives would get messy soon" I explained.

We had so seen this type of girls nas boys during our time who felt themselves above all and wanted to act big girls, they all ended up drug addicts, catching dangerous infections like aids and so on only few of them escaped and survived.

" I know what am doing, am a growing adult and I should be allowed to differentiate between good and bad and what I want with my life okay" she said and continued pressing her phone.

Okay this is getting out of hand and aria and I have a lot to do otherwise our daughter would tread the wrong path which is dangerous.
