Chapter 34

The sun has risen

I woke up looking like a total mess, my pillows and blanket all on the ground while I slept peacefully

While saliva run down to my cheeks I quickly wiped it off and stared to thin air

I sat up and scratches my back

"Yaaaaaaaaaawn"

I then yawned and sat up and stretched my arms looking at the window to see the sun brightly

"That's right, I'm home"

I mumbled

I smiled happily I then stood up and went near the mirror

Where I first checked to see who I was in this world

"The first time I woke up, this room was full of dusts but now it's like brand new"

I giggled happily thinking back

I then walked towards the door and opened it

To see Mother and Cosmo sitting on a chair and in the dining area eating together with Miya standing

"Have you eaten Miya?"

Mother asked

Miya responded with a smile and nodded her head

Mother then looked at Cosmo and chatted happily Mother who smiled at Cosmo

Cosmo must be saying something stupid again

I thought

Mother noticed I walked to them closer she turned to look at me then smiled happily

Cosmo too looked at me smiling and waved happily

"Hey Athy, you're finally awake!"

Cosmo said happily

Mother giggled but then she noticed something

"Uh dear, have you forgotten something?"

Mother said as she touched her face looking a bit red

I titled my head as I don't know what she meant

I looked down and saw I was still in my pajamas!

I quickly looked back up to see both of them giggling

I hid my face embarrassed by what I did

This is so embarrassing!

I shouted in my head

As I was about to go back in my room and change I noticed Cosmo looking at me weirdly...

Cosmo gave me a smirk then looked back at mother to give her a weird smile

"You don't have to worry Auntie"

And as soon as I heard him say it, it gave me goosebumps

Cosmo then touched his face and body all weirdly and said

"You see Athy has always been like this, even in school she doesn't care if she wears her pajamas around me"

What is he saying now?!

I tried looking for something something light but if thrown could be deadly

I searched and searched...

And there I saw Mother's holy slippers

Once I saw it I quickly took it from where it came was placed

I looked at Cosmo who was happily making stuff up

I pointed at him readied my mother's holy slippers and....

Cosmo happily touching his face and body all weirdly talking to mother

"And there was this one time Athy pulled me close and-"

"Fire"

I whispered

I then aimed it at Cosmo and threw it at the back of his head

*Pock!*

"Ughhhh Ouch!"

Cosmo exclaimed then looked at me crying

But as soon as he saw my angry face he quickly turned to look at mother and scratched his head

"Hehe I guess it was all in my imagination"

Mother looked surprised at first then giggled after

"Oh dear, Cosmo is such a funny guy"

Mother patted Cosmo's head causing Cosmo to blush a little

"Mother please don't spoil him, and stop treating him like my younger brother"

I told my mother who was happily patting Cosmo's head

She then gave me a glance and smiled

"Athy my dear please change now if you don't want to be seen in those"

Mother said

"Fine fine"

I grumbled

When I was about to go in my bedroom I heard Cosmo saying something

Cosmo who was with mother went near to mother's ear and whispered

"Auntie, when we are in school she always mistreats me"

Hearing those again I quickly took mother's holy slippers and threw it at Cosmo

But unfortunately he catched it

He looked at me smirking

"Hehe your aim isn't as good as-"

Without letting him finishing his words I quickly took the chance and threw another at him

And then....

*Pock!*

"Headshot!"

I shouted happily

Cosmo who was hit just rubbed his forehead and stick out his tongue

"Bleh!"

Cosmo said angrily making an annoying face

That's the only thing he could do in this situation so I let him be

Mother was so happy to see us fighting like siblings that she didn't even got angry at me

Since it has been a while since this house got rowdy

Miya who witnessed it all just stood there feeling awkward by what is happening

"Is this normal? or am I just weird?"

Miya mumbled

....

After changing my clothes I noticed Cosmo who was standing outside of my door

"Yes?"

I asked

"You're finally done! now come and let's go to town"

Cosmo's face lit up then pulled me by the hand and tried to let me follow him to town

But I resisted and took my hand out of his grip

"Hey! we're not going to town just yet"

I told him crossing my arms

"What do you mean?"

Cosmo asked

"Didn't we talked about this just yesterday? I told you go first then I go after visiting Claude who's house is just close to mine"

I said to Cosmo

"And how far his house is exactly?"

Cosmo crossed his arms then looked at me closely

"Uhm.... just a 1houre walk?"

I said asking at the same time

Cosmo nodded and gave me a look that say's "It'll be a very long walk"

And glared at me pouting

"Y-you see if I just ride a carriage it'll be only 20 minuets ride it's faster than walking right?"

I said to Cosmo

Cosmo thought about it then nods his head

He then looked at me and said

"Ok how about this, the both of us visit Claude first and then go to town?"

I then shook my head and said

"Didn't you say that there's something important you wanted to show me?"

Cosmo then nods his head

"Then why?"

I asked again

"Well since you and Claude hadn't reconciled yet so I thought that why not do that first?"

Cosmo looked at me shrugging his shoulders

He said that he needed to show me something important

Reconciling with Claude is important too but what if Cosmo needed to show me something very important that could help me with my survival?

I rubbed my chin I then looked up at Cosmo who was waiting for my answer

I then gave a sigh and said

"Ok this is what we'll do, let's go to town first and then later let's visit Claude"

Cosmo's face then lit up hearing me say that

He then grabbed my hand and pulled me to the front door

"Then let's go!"

Cosmo and I then ran towards the gate

Mother who was watering the plants saw us running and asked

"Where are the both of you going so early in the morning?!"

"Uhm we'll be back mother don't worry"

I screamed answering mother's question

"Ok!"

She gave me a surprised look but answered loudly and waved her hands goodbye

"Huff huff huff"

I am so tired at running and then we finally stopped waiting for our carriage to arrive

I looked back up at Cosmo who was totally fine from running that far and fast

"You...huff... why aren't you... huff huff... tired?!"

I said breathing heavily looking at Cosmo

Cosmo just looked at me without answering smiled at me

"What?....huff...huff"

I whispered breathing heavily

"The carriage is here!"

Cosmo said happily

I look at the carriage infront of us and Cosmo offering his hand

I took his hand and went in the carriage

Cosmo then went inside and sat across me

As I was thinking

I thought that I didn't know where we are going

I looked at Cosmo who was looking out in the window

Smiling sadly like he was thinking about something

"Psst Cosmo!"

I called for his attention

Cosmo heard and looked at me

"What is it?"

Cosmo asked

"Where exactly are we going?"

I asked Cosmo

"We're going to the old lady"

Cosmo smiled as he told where we'll be going

"Old lady? who is it?"

I asked once again

"You know the Old lady you visited just recently?"

Cosmo said looking at me confused

"You know the old lady? but how did you know we were there?"

I asked again

But Cosmo raised his hands and pointed his head and said

"I told you me and Athy are connected since we signed a contract"

"You and Athy signed a contrcat?"

I asked surprised

"Yes I did I told you"

Cosmo answered back

"You did? why can't I remember?"

I tried and tried remembering but I can't

"You must have forgotten but I really did tell you"

Cosmo said

I then nodded my head

I looked back at Cosmo who was still looking at me and said

"But I'm not the real Athy"

I said to Cosmo

"Even if the body's soul is gone since Athy made a contract with that body, the contract not only applies to her soul but also her physical body"

Cosmo answered with a smile on his face

I nodded

"Is that so?"

I whispered and rubbed my chin looking down with my eyes closed

"Are there any more questions?"

Cosmo asked me

"Not yet, but maybe i'll have my questions later"

I answered

"Ok!"

Cosmo happily said and gave me an ok hand sign

After a few hours together in the carriage we finally arrived in town where we would meet the old lady

But as soon as we stepped down

Cosmo was distracted by colorful things, and playful things...

"Ooh Athy, look there's food over there!"

"Look Athy, isn't that fun to watch?!"

"Oh oh Athy, looked behind you they have a cloud on a stick!"

"Please get me that cloud on a stick!"

Cosmo's eyes sparkled to see all of this

Cosmo then came running towards the cotton candy stall

This boy acts like a child

I facepalm myself

But I guess he hasn't tried any of these so I'll let him enjoy a little

I smiled looking at Cosmo who was enjoying it all

For hours in town we played, eat and sightseeing for hours and yet Cosmo isn't tired

"Hey Cosmo isn't this a little bit extreme?! look at all of the prizes you have in your hand!"

I shouted as I point at the things he has in his hands

He then moved his body away from me and gave me a pout

"If you wanted some you could have gone and played to obtain prizes"

Cosmo said

I scratched my head and sighed deeply

"Aren't we here for the old lady?"

I tried telling Cosmo calmly

He then gave a shocked face and nodded his head

"What are we waiting for? let's go!"

Cosmo then went to the direction opposite to where the old lady is

"Hey! Cosmo it's here!"

I then pulled Cosmo the other way and he followed me from behind

The sun has set and it got darker Cosmo holding all of his prizes happily

As I walked infront of him worried for I have a bad feeling...

We finally arrived at the Old Lady's home

I then went near the front door and gave a knock

*Knock Knock Knock*

But there was no response....
