The Hero

Oh geez, another dumb mission on another dumb forest. Being a hero is hard work because of my title as the Hero, including my incredible power. Most monsters just run away before they even see me, as they probably sense my awesomeness coming their way. I can't blame them; I'm pretty powerful and awesome, after all. Some would even say, I'm reaching into the level of the Gods! ahaha! Anyway, our mission today was a simple hunt. We were supposed to look for a giant cobra monster and kill it, as it has been bothering merchants and other townsfolk coming to the city. It was a simple mission indeed, yet it could have been smoother. Oh yeah, before I forget, I should probably tell you about my slave companions! Let's introduce you to Kana and Lana, easy names, right? They're my companions; one is in charge of support magic, and the other of the healing part. They're two beautiful elf twins that I, of course, paid the total price for; they were pretty expensive, not gonna cap.

- Master Leon, I sense a strong magical power coming from that direction. Could it be what we are looking for?

- What about you, Lana? Do You sense anything?

- I do not master, I'm sorry.

- Ah, that's alright, take us there then, go on Kana, you are the only one that feels it, so guide us.

Both Lana and I follow Kana for a while. I still don't feel anything but a chill down my spine and the nervousness coming from both Kana and Lana. Even Lana seems distressed, so I just get ahead of them, telling them to stay behind me. As expensive as they were, I ain't letting them die so easily. That would be completely wrong.

Steaming ahead, we finally get close to a brutal sight: a man fighting with what looks like our target. He's clearly losing ground fast, but he doesn't seem to have much fear in his eyes; I quickly look around and see a horse fleeing away with what seemed like 2 kids?; I couldn't tell at first, then suddenly, one of them dropped from the horse and ran face-first into the danger. I sat back, for now, watching, waiting more, you know? Since I'm a hero, I have to wait for that perfect moment to make me look the best, even more so when it's with cute girls like that! Oh, come on, don't try to sermon me. I never let any girl or kid die; I, you know, let them marinate for a little bit until they seem about to die, and then I just suddenly pop off out of nowhere looking a goddam champ. That leaves a good impression of me precisely, which is what I want. Although I just sit back, I can't help but wonder, what's the girl going to do?

- Master, I don't think it's the snake, the thing that I sensed before.

- What do you mean?

- The snake feels strong, but there's another magical signal completely nullifying the snake's.

- What? Those high-level worms are mighty, and the man seems to be losing to the snake; you don't think it's the?

- I think so, master. Why don't you use appraisal on that girl?.

- I can't, Kana, she's too far, but I still trust you. Let's keep watching, then.

Then, as soon as our short conversation finished, a bright light came out of nowhere, almost blinding my companions and me; then the most terrifying sight came up before my eyes: a massive Icicle shot just appeared out of the air. I, of course, have seen spells and magic before. Heck, I use it myself, but that was not normal! An icicle shot is a low-level spell, and it's supposed to be around the size of your hand, not the size of a full-grown adult! Looking still in disbelief, the girl just shoots the giant icicle shot.

What came next in front of my eyes was, well, hard to believe, the spell cut the head off the snake and killed it with an impossible one-shot! This mission was supposed to have an S-tier boss! Even for a seasoned adventurer, it would be hard. Of course, it would barely make me break a sweat, though that is not the point. Just who the heck is she? Are they a new group of elite adventurers? No, they can't be; they were literally running away, I have got to know!.

My curiosity is getting the best of me!, so using my telescopic sight, I get the excellent idea of using appraisal, and to my surprise, it works!, but what I see shocks me!

What?! She stopped my appraisal?! I have no knowledge of any skill or abilities that would let you block an appraisal, especially an appraisal from someone holding one of the most powerful titles known to man. However, something is clear: whoever this girl is, she's powerful. Is she a kind of demon? No, her appraisal clearly states she's a human, so why? Why can't I read how high her MP is?! I have never seen anything that displayed an error message. What the heck! Dam it! She is looking my way, but her eyes aren't filled with hate or fear. She's just looking directly at me. I can't help but feel guilty. Did she notice me? And her stare is just her way of telling me to fuck off? No, no, it's probably just a coincidence. I'd better jump on now so I can at least get a word with her, maybe even get myself an upgrade; if she's a blessed child, she'll be a perfect vessel to strengthen me! With my unique skill! Greed! I can steal MP from others at an exchange rate of 1 to 3; it's pretty inefficient, but this is how I have gotten to the 15 thousand mark in MP, just thinking about stealing her MP! She must be a juicy girl. If she has like 30,000 points, which is quite literally impossible, I will get 10k to myself and leave her dry, a complete dub for me, because what is she gonna do then? Attack me? She'll be useless! And I'll be even more powerful than before!

The game plan goes as follows: simple and straightforward: I introduce myself, acting like I couldn't get there in time, and then they will most likely fall in love with me, especially the girl since I'm also extremely handsome! So, right after that, I jumped right into the action, jumping into the frame like I couldn't get there in time, having dropped water spells on me just to make me appear like I was sweating from a long run. Truly a master of fakes!

- *fake pant, fake pant* You guys alright? I was looking to get to this monster before it got to any people, but I didn't make it in time.

- who are you? {The little girl asks}

- Who am I? I'm the greatest warrior this world probably has! I'm the Hero!.

- Thank you for your efforts, Sr hero, but it seems like we already got that thing. You can claim the kill. We didn't mean to kill your prey.

- Oh, it's alright, say? You guys look similar. Are you two related?

- Oh yes, how rude of me. I'm Galileo, and this is my daughter, Yui, and the kid over there is Kars.

- I should do the same, Mr. Galileo. My name is Leon, and these two are my companions, Kana and Lana.

- Pleasure to meet with the current Hero. Do you guys know a good route to get out of here before the sun sets? We don't wanna spend the night here if you know what I mean.

- Oh, yeah, sure, you guys just follow us. Lana will take us out in an instant if we just follow her.

Quickly gathering worm scales for killing evidence, we follow Lana out of the forest, exactly where the next route is; somehow, Lana can always find the shortest paths, but hey! She's my property, so that's fine by me. That makes me an intelligent businessman, and I don't complain since I put up the excuse of guarding the rear. I get to see the girls' backsides all the way out, if you know what I mean; my two girls definitely got it, but what is up with this other chick! She's only 10, and she's already got that big butt? It drives me crazy! Hey, shut up! I save the world from all kinds of dangers. I think I can afford to be a little extra once in a while, you know?.

Arriving outside, the sun finally gives up and wholly disappears, so we all just set up camp, and then, it's naughty time! I just wait for everyone to fall asleep, and then I strike! First, I use paralyzing magic, which has an effect as she stays still, not moving even one bit. Then I just put my hands on her abdomen and try and activate Greed, but something weird happens.

- Unable to activate Greed, the subject you're trying to Greed from has a higher rank than you, permissions denied.

What the?! A higher rank than me? What the heck is the voice talking about? I'm in the top 100 in the world in everything. I can't be outranked! Wait, is it because she's in the top 10 in literally one category? That ain't fair! She doesn't even rank in any other category, dam it; I guess I'll find another way of stealing all her precious MP another time. For now, if my Greed doesn't work, I might as well pretend like this never happened.

- I wanna make another skill, activate administrator's power.

- Good, okay, so this skill will grant a speed multiplier to the original movement speed, which is tied to SP. The value of the multiplier will be by 3 and can only be given to those who wanna evolve "Greater Speed."

- Oh yeah, name it. Uhmm, well, the reason I'm making this skill, call it, like that crazy pot guy, I know! Let Me Solo Her!.
