I Can See That!

Maya may have a better understanding of her husband than anyone else but there was still a lot she didn't know. Like what he actually wanted out of life. 

He cared about the environment…believed the world would be better off automated…thought people could do wonderful things given the time and incentive to create despite generally hating them…and felt no connection to another human being aside from her. 

She was the sole exception and he didn't like it on some level, going as far as calling her his weakness. She couldn't blame him for it though with what he had been through. He had certainly been his sister's Achilles heel. 

Vincent was cold and acidic as a defense mechanism because he didn't want anyone to get too close. He was brilliant but that was both a blessing and a curse since his photographic memory made his nightmares more vivid. He was a problem solver, an inventor, and completely antisocial.
