Creating poems on the spot was beyond Chen Jianhai's ability. However, he could manage a few lines, recalling some knowledge from his school days. Thankfully, during his idle times, he had read some great works, which now came in handy to deal with the situation.
Clearing his throat, Chen Jianhai inexplicably thought of Wen Zifan and began to recite slowly and deeply:
"If I could control the thunder's roar,"
"If I could command the spirit of language,"
"I would weave words with dazzling lightning in the high sky of the whole world, to express my faithful love for you,"
"So that the whole world would remember you forever."
Chen Jianhai, already a tall figure, had developed a magnetic and charismatic presence due to his life as a boss and the system's enhancements over the past six months. Although his cadence and resonance were not as profound as the young man who had read before, the unique charm of the poem combined with Chen Jianhai's image created an unexpected but impressive effect.
"His recitation is... quite mediocre,"
A young man with white hair, carrying a backpack, looked up from below the terrace, clicking his tongue. The young man, appearing to be in his early twenties, wore a simple T-shirt with a bulging backpack.
The white-haired young man glanced at the library and then looked towards the nearby cliff. Although the library was built along the mountain, a part behind the library remained undeveloped and barren.
He touched the rough cliff wall before walking into the library to take a closer look.
After spending an afternoon in the library and realizing that his library was merely being used as a venue for a small poetry gathering, Chen Jianhai finally felt relieved.
"Even though this is a cultural travelers' stop, it doesn't feel right to have my place used as a venue for others' activities and promoted by them," Chen Jianhai thought, walking down from the terrace with a slight frown.
Although he had initially envisioned this place as a cultural rest stop for travelers, if things continued like this, who knew how many events people would organize here in the future. Without proper organization, things could get messy quickly.
Determined, Chen Jianhai pulled out his phone and called Lin Suyang.
"Hello, Boss?" Lin Suyang's voice came through the phone.
"Delegate your work at the hotel and bring a few people by boat to the island tomorrow. Take good care of the Haiya Library," Chen Jianhai instructed.
"Understood, Boss. I'll be there tomorrow!" Lin Suyang replied without hesitation.
Hanging up the phone, Chen Jianhai felt relieved and prepared to head down the mountain. He hadn't walked far when he saw a young man with white hair clearing weeds and dead branches on the side of the library's cliff.
Chen Jianhai couldn't help but take another look at him. The young man was not only cleaning up inside the library but also tidying up outside. Nice!
The next day, Lin Suyang arrived on the island with several members of the publicity department on the earliest boat. After carefully listening to Chen Jianhai's requirements and understanding his intentions, Lin Suyang gathered his team in the conference room.
"So, the boss wants us to quickly integrate into the travel literature website, guide public opinion, and consolidate information," Lin Suyang said seriously, holding a notebook.
"But I think that's far from enough."
Closing the notebook, Lin Suyang's eyes gleamed with strategy:
"Since the Haiya Library has already gained some online fame, why don't we establish an official Haiya Library website?"
"We could organize monthly poetry gatherings, book clubs, and drama activities ourselves, all for free."
"Following the boss's directive, we should minimize the commercial aspects and maintain the library's public and cultural essence."
A team member asked, puzzled, "Setting up a website is easy, but will people come to these free poetry gatherings, book clubs, and drama activities?"
"I think we should try," another team member suggested.
"There are many passionate content creators online who do things for love, not money,"
"Although some are students and some are already working, they have quite a following."
"If we plan to organize free poetry gatherings and such, we could consider involving them."
"Besides the atmosphere, we also offer free accommodation, which is a huge advantage."
The employee sketched on the notebook while speaking, "Initially, it might be challenging to find people."
"But once our library's reputation is established, teams will come to us, wanting to book our venue."
Lin Suyang nodded slightly. "Good idea."
"Our first event at the library needs to be a big success! If necessary, spending money to hire a team for advertising and promotion is an option."
With years of experience in publicity, they knew the ropes well. Lin Suyang's suggestion of hiring a team was more of a precaution. They could easily handle it with the students from their own university's broadcasting and arts departments.
Some students might seem unremarkable at school, but once they start speaking into a microphone, they transform into voice acting marvels.
Moreover, these students had their own loyal online communities. By appealing to their passions and providing free transportation, accommodation, and meals, such free meet-and-greet opportunities would definitely attract interest.
"Let's head to the library and take a look," Lin Suyang said, standing up and leading the team out of the office with his notebook.
Although they had read the article and seen photos of the most beautiful island library, they needed to see the actual conditions and atmosphere for themselves.
As they walked along the mountain path to the library, they took many photos, planning to use them as material for the website.
Upon reaching the top, they saw a young man with white hair carving something into the cliff with tools, surrounded by people taking pictures with their phones.
"Minister, is it allowed to graffiti on the mountain?" an employee asked Lin Suyang.
Lin Suyang was also confused. He knew the library belonged to the boss, but wasn't sure if the mountain was part of the hotel property.
"Let's go and check it out first," he said.
