Stephanie, The Pretentious Woman

Stephanie's Pov

I saw JJ and Geli hugging each other here from upstairs. I took a peak on them when I heard theur voices this early in the morning.

I was about to get my phone on my room and take shot on them to send to Red but I think its not really a good idea. JJ was about to cry. I know how it felt.

Geli and I were really close back then. But I made a mistake to blame her for something she really didn't did. I just lost my temper and with her I gave my resentment. I was too embarrassed on what happened. I was embarrassed to approach her to apologize for what I said but I still wanted to be with her so all I thought about was to be her classmate and tease him so that somehow she would notice me. Until everything reaches this point. I wanted to tell her something about her late mother but I was embarrassed and Dad might just scold me.

“You go back to your room first, I want to see you walk.” Said JJ when he ended their hug.

“Ok.” My sister smiled on him.

I immediately hide on the big flower pot behind me so she can't see me.

When she already entered her room I again took a peak on JJ. He was holding the door knob and twisted it. I quickly get down and catch up to him.

“Wait!” I said as I ran toward him.

He turn to me with a surprise look.

“Stephanie?” He said.

I tap his shoulder and smile on him. He look on his shoulder where I tapped him.

“Let's go on a date today! I need some fresh air!” I said. His eyes widened when I said that.

I walk first and passed on him.

Our bodyguard was about to open the gate when I turn around to him.

“Hhm? Are you busting me right away?” I told him.

He hurried to walk towards me.

"Let's go then." He said as he passed on me.

I smiled and took the handkerchief from my pocket.

"Hey!" I call JJ.

When he turned around, I immediately threw the handkerchief at him and he almost couldn't catch it.

"Wipe your tears first!" I smiled at him.

We got in JJ's car today. I don't know but I could look at his face because he might suddenly cry and express resentment towards me.

"Why are you staring at me?" I was surprised when he suddenly spoke.

"Hhmm ... You might suddenly fall asleep." I just said.

“What? Tsk!! And why would I sleep?” Laughing, he said while looking straight at the road.

"Ehh... Because in this early in the morning you went from our home just to tell my sister that ‘I only wish now is your happiness ~’ blah blah blah~" I teased him.

“Huh! Did you hear that all?” He asked while he smiled.

"Uh-huh... So?"

“Nothing..... Were here”

He parked the car next door.

“A coffee shop? Really now?” I act like a child.

“What? It's still morning. Why? Aren't you drinking coffee before?” He asked as he removed the seatbelt from him.

He got off first so I removed my seatbelt and I followed him.

"Let's go!" He said.

We went inside. There were only a few people there, probably because it was just morning.

“Sit over there. I will order for us...”JJ pointed to the table near the edge of the mirror.

“Ok” I said. I was about to turn around to walk to the table he pointed to but he suddenly grabbed me by the shoulder.

“Uhhmm.... What kind of coffee do you want? Do you like black coffee, brown coffee, or white coffee? ” He asked me. That's all?

“Anything. But I think I prefer white coffee now hehe...” I answered.

"Ok"

I went straight to sit in the spot he pointed to. I just took my cellphone out of my pocket. Good thing that my cellphone is always in my pocket, unlike Geli who left her cellphone in our room when we were on vacation at the beach. I wonder what flashlight she used then?

I just looked on facebook first before JJ arrived, I scroll and scroll. I even watched funny videos. I didn't realize that JJ was behind me carrying the coffee.

"Oh sorry." I said.

I took him a coffee and put it on the table. JJ also put the coffee he was holding and sat down opposite to me.

I drank the coffee I took from him and I was surprised at the taste.

"Its my coffee." JJ pointed at the coffee I am holding.

"Oh... right!"

I exchanged the coffee I was holding to him. Yup! How clumsy you are today, Stephanie Costa!

"Hhmm... You. Why are you always fighting with Geli?" I stunned at what he said.

"Why.... do you ask?" I said softly.

"Nothing I just want to know. But if you don't want to, it's ok!” He said while sipping his coffee.

"Hhhmmm.... It actually started with a little fight with her when we were on 4th year highschool and its our prom night ..."

~ Flashback ~

"Geli, are you sure he'll like me this way I look?" I asked Geli while she was fixing my hair on the back.

“I'm sure. Trust me, you look so pretty tonight! You are the most beautiful woman tonight” She said.

“Well ok, if you say so ..” I said.

We left the comfort room after we reflected.

We have approached the man I really admire so much.

“H-Hi!” I wave my hand on him.

He turned to us and smiled at us.

"Oh... Hi, ladies!" He greeted us.

I blush on his greet.

"I'm Steph—"

"What is your name, Miss?" I was about to say my name but then he pointed at my sister and asked her.

“I'm Geli and this is my sister.

My sister, Geli introduced me.

I just smiled at him again.

"Hello, Stephanie and to you my dear, Geli!" I felt a little jealous when he called my sister like that.

"You know, you look so beautiful tonight, I think your the most beautiful woman tonight." He said as he looked to my sister and smiled at her.

Geli was stunned and look at me.

"I'm sorry but do you think she's pretty as well?" Geli even grabbed me by the shoulder and placed me in front of him.

“Hhhmm... yes she is. But I think you are better than others."

I can't help myself. I thought of all the possibilities to say of a jealous one. I ran back to the comfort room and cried in front of the mirror. My eye shadow had dissolved and it spread all over my face.

“And now, I am no longer the best tonight, I have become the ugliest! Aararrgghhhh!!!”

I hit the wall repeatedly out of my annoyance.

"Steph!" Geli suddenly entered the door and approached me.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"You! You ruined everything! You probably meant to really come with me there so he can notice you! It always happens and I can't take this anymore! You— You're such a selfish person, Geli! Selfish!" I said angrily while running out of the comfort room.

I looked at my coffee and played with the cup.

“The next day, I found out that the man had a fiance, he was just too flirtatious. I wanted to apologize to her but I was embarrassed, I knew she was really better than me. While I, just......a waste.... Tsk!” I even laughed to myself.

"No your not. You're look beautiful, don't you know that?" I raised my head to see JJ's face if he was joking with me or he was telling the truth.

He sipped his coffee and so did I.

“We all have our own beauty. I also noticed that you don't really want what you say and what you were doing to Geli, especially when you cry on the beach.” I was stunned by what he said.

"What did you say?" I asked him directly.

"Uhhmmm.... I'm sorry, I accidentally saw you on the beach crying and saying the word 'sorry, Geli.' I accidentally heard it when I was about to change my clothes. " He explained.

"What? Even so! It's still wrong that you heard that! Hmph!" I said irritably while sipping my hot coffee.

I was shocked so my lip burned. I almost threw hot coffee in my clothes. I rubbed my mouth with my hand and felt pain.

JJ hurriedly grabbed a tissue and approached me. He wiped my lips. It was as if the pain suddenly disappeared when he approached me and wiped me away. I stared at his face as he wiped me.

"Uhmm... S-Sorry." He said sharply as I looked at him.

He returned to his seat and drank coffee again. This time, he just drank the cup of coffee and ran out of it.

"Thank you." I said.

He has already taken me home. He stopped the car in front of our gate and immediately got out to open the door for me. It was as if I was just now ashamed of him like this.

"Thank you for coming back to me." I smiled at him.

"No problem! Thanks for..... Uhhmmm ..... for inviting me?" He was scratching his head.

“Tsk! I said it was a date! Bye ~ ” I said while turning around and waving my hand at him.

"Goodbye!" I heard him shout.

When I got inside, I peeked at the door first. I watched him leave in the car. I smiled for no apparent reason, I went upstairs and walked towards my room. I was distracted when Geli's room suddenly opened which I had already passed. Geli was wearing a black shirt and her hair was in a ponytail. What makes her dress like that?

She turned around and went downstairs.

"Hey!" I called to him who stopped him and turned to me.

"Where are you going?" I raised an eyebrow at him while crossing my arms.

“Non on your business. you just leave in the morning. Go for your breakfast when I left." She said and then she got off and cotinue going down.

When she got out the door I went down as well.

I wonder where she is going? Hhhmmm.....

I decided to follow her. I am now in the car in the backseat with our driver. I asked him to follow the taxi where my sister Geli was riding.

"Why are we following her, Ma'am Stephanie?" Our driver asked as he looked at me through the mirror.

"Don't get lost in them! I just want to make sure that Geli doesn't go to a dangerous place." I replied.

"Aahhh ok, ma'am!" He said and then he looked back at the road.

When Geli's taxi stopped, I stopped next to the car I was riding in, a little far from her so that I could not see by her.
