Lira Nebulon's POV
As Nord slumped into my arms, tears mingling with his sobs, I held him close, letting him release his pain. His emotions were a tempest, a storm of guilt, anger, and self-loathing.
I gently stroked his back, my fingers tracing soothing patterns as I whispered soft words of comfort.
"You had to, Nord… You protected all of us. Because of you, we all will clear this quest. The whole city," I assured him again, my voice carrying warmth and sincerity.
His sobs gradually subsided, replaced by shaky breaths. He clung to me, his grip tight as if he feared I'd disappear. "But I… But I—" he struggled to articulate his feelings between the waves of emotion crashing over him.
I held him tighter, embracing his vulnerability.
His grip around me tightened, and he buried his face in my shoulder, surrendering to his tears and fears.
