Finally, after walking for an hour, Lilly and William reached the Mayor's mansion. It was quite a distance away from the Adventurers Guild, after all.
As she looked at the most significant architecture of the town, Lilly said, "Well, he sure likes to live in luxury."
Indeed, as she said, The Mayor liked to live in luxury. It was clear just from the luxurious mansion he had.
It completely stood out from other buildings, not that it was a bad thing, as he was the most powerful and influential person in the town. But it looked like that every penny of the town was spent in this mansion.
Even the entrance gate was made from expensive materials. The walls stood high around the mansion as a form of protection. That wasn't it, Lilly had detected some low-level rune formations in the walls.
'This guy surely spent everything for his own safety.' Lilly wondered as she stood under a big tree with William.
