She began to explain slowly, "They can get a little bit of power if they feed on Human's energy, but it's not enough. That's why they held that party and gathered humans with talented souls or status. They wanted to create a paradise for their Kin to come to."

"A paradise?" Tom asked incredulously. Once again, the words left him. "They were making a heaven for Devils?"

"Sort of." She nodded, "They were probably trying to gather enough energy from those men and women to create a rift between Hell and Earth. As for important people and businessmen you talked about earlier, Tom... They probably want their money and influence."
