Isaac awoke with a start.
"What happened?"
He stared around him and saw that he was in a very different room from the one he'd been in before he woke up.
He was in front of his computer, playing his favorite game, "Absorb Monster", before it collapsed and his vision went black.
A sudden headache assailed him, and memories flooded back.
"I've... I transmigrated??"
He knew he was in the body of a 16-year-old orphan. His parents had both died at the front, so the government provided him with an apartment and food until he turned 18.
The world he was on was also called "Blue Star", but five or six times larger than Isaac's homeworld.
This planet was inhabited by humans, of course, but also by gigantic beasts that threatened human extinction. In addition to these beasts, other races coexisted and despised humans for their weakness.
"Well, I've really fallen down this time," he sighed in frustration.
Isaac checked the state of his body and found that he was much stronger than his original body.
"AHAHA is it the blessings of this planet?"
He searched the memories of the body's former owner. According to him, he was at the second level of genetic warrior apprentice. The lowest level, and it wasn't normal to be there at Isaac's age, and he'd only managed to awaken [Mana Ball], a low-level genetic talent, his talent was really rubbish.
For warriors, there are different levels of strength: genetic warrior apprentice from first to ninth level, then genetic warrior class, then martial warrior, saint and others that humans had never managed to reach.
What defined a warrior's rank was his intelligence statistic. The warrior could increase it through meditation, so the higher his talent, the easier it was to meditate and rise in power.
"F*CK, already humans are trash so I'm the trash of trash..."
He slumped to the cold floor discouraged by the news.
"What's the point?"
He suddenly heard a buzzing in the room. Annoyed, he looked up to see that a fly was flying around the room, making its annoying noise.
Isaac stood up and slammed it against the wall.
Unluckily, he missed it and a bruise emerged on his white skin.
"Ouch Ouch Ouch damn fly from ****" he swore.
This time he waited, waiting for the fly to land on the wall. He waited for long minutes before the right moment finally presented itself.
He approached slowly, observing the fly's every movement.
A few centimetres away, Isaac prepared his hand and, with a swift blow, smashed it against the wall.
A stain spread across the wall as a viscous liquid stuck to the palm of his hand.
"AAAAh, that's disgusting!" he shouted, before running to the tap.
[Ding... Do you want to absorb the genes and strength of the fly?]
"Huh??" he stopped stupidly, forgetting even the fly blood on his hand.
He looked at the translucent screen before suddenly dancing with joy.
"AHAHA I've got a golden finger too AHAHA".
Isaac was a big fan of web novels and was more than familiar with transmigrator systems. He'd been hoping for one all his life.
"ABSORB!" he shouted.
[Panoramic View]
Isaac felt his eyes distort and divide into 3,000 tiny lenses. His vision suddenly expanded greatly and it could be seen that tiny little divisions had appeared inside them.
"It's so strange", he murmured.
Soon he felt his eyes sting horribly and quickly deactivated the skill.
"It seems the fly was too weak for me to gain anything else" he sighed.
Invigorated by the news of his golden finger, he went out, and the greatest fly hunt the world had ever known began.
Isaac went to a supermarket and bought an electric racket.
"20 bucks for this crap. What's the world coming to?" he grumbled on his way out.
He then went to a park inside the city and the "hunt" began.
With each buzzing sound, Isaac's racket struck and a roasted odor wafted from the poor fly's body.
"I've killed over a dozen flies but the same genetic talent comes back every time. How trashy is my luck?"
[Panoramic Vision: Your view has been widened and your blind spots removed, so you can now pick up any movement around you. Range and duration of use depend on the user's strength]
Isaac activated the skill and his field of vision increased from 180 degrees to 360 degrees. He could see behind his back without turning his head, whether at foot level or above his head.
"I can't look very far at the moment, but this skill is still pretty useful," he gloated.
As he tested his new skill, a new buzzing sound was heard and Isaac immediately set off on the hunt again.
In the evening, he returned to his apartment exhausted, having gained nothing... Fly hunting is no picnic.
Isaac sat down at his desk and opened the low-end computer the government had provided.
He surfed the Internet before suddenly making a strange face.

LE RUBBISH COLLECTOR RESPONDS TO OUR INTERVIEW
"IT'S SIMPLY A MYSTERY, WHOEVER DID THIS IS A DANGEROUS PSYCHOPATH".
PHÉNOMÈNE STRANGE OR PSYCHOPATHIC ACT? READ ALL ABOUT IT.
"Whoever wrote this article is just plain stupid!" he exclaimed before slamming down his computer and heading off to bed, muttering insults.
Isaac went to bed early because it was the end of the weekend and school would resume tomorrow. The end-of-year exams, which were more than important to enter a prestigious university and hope to be the future pillar of humanity, would soon begin.
With Isaac's talent, he knew he couldn't hope for anything, but since he had the golden finger, the scales had shifted.
He had to work hard, and the time would come when everyone would know his name.
