I Farm Demons : Unholy Necromancer In the Apocalypse

In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by war with demonic forces, civilization as it once existed is all but gone.  In its place, a new order had emerged, with humans developing magical abilities as each generation passed.  To ensure the survival of their species, society had been divided into Circles, with each member guaranteed a specific job once they reached the age of eighteen. Xylon Sinclair was an orphan with a limited affinity for magic, and he had been reincarnated as a punishment for his past deeds.  In a former life, he was Zephyr, a powerful demon who served the mighty Balthyrov, the Lord of Demons, until he became a perceived threat. He got killed mercilessly and got forced to reincarnate as a fragile human being as a punishment. Upon reaching the age of eighteen, Xylon was told that he will become a Soul Keeper, a role that he knew nothing about. Despite his confusion, he had no choice but to accept this position.  However, rather than following the status quo, Xylon experimented with the system, using his formal knowledge about the demon realm to resurrect demons from thousands of years ago.  What had started as a mere curiosity soon turned into an obsession for Xylon.  He was fascinated by the power that he could wield by bringing the ancient demons back from the dead.  It was as if he had discovered a new realm of possibilities that he had never imagined before. And then, he started to dream bigger... Xylon Sinclair wanted to rule over both realms, human and demon realm... //////////////// For those who wanted to contact me, here is my discord : Yoonaas#3976 p.s: the cover is purely mine , and it is made solely for this webnovel, it shows Zephyr. I want to see everything

"You met Eva," one of the female caregivers said with a warm smile, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. It was as though she was eager to witness the look of surprise on his face, to see his reaction to this new acquaintance.

He had always been an enigma to them, a child who seemed to have been born with knowledge beyond his years. Despite being the first to learn the language, how to walk, and even how to write among the other children, he was the last one to awaken his powers. His personality was cold and distant, and it seemed like he never truly enjoyed being around the other kids. There was never a moment where he played with them or thanked someone politely, leaving everyone feeling uneasy in his presence.

He carried himself with an air of superiority, as if he knew more than any five-year-old should, and it made the caregivers uneasy. They found themselves unable to connect with him, but one of them, this particular caregiver, had taken the initiative to help him, to try and understand him.

The boy's voice was calm as he spoke, but his words hung heavy in the air, like an ominous cloud. "You told everyone about the life that was awaiting me after the awakening," he said. "You told me that I am an orphan, and that I am going to the orphanage after this. But how come you never mentioned that she exists?"

As she looked at him, she noticed something that confirmed her suspicion: he didn't refer to Eva as his sister.

It wasn't a surprise, really. This child was different from the others, not just because he was the first to learn the language, walk, and write among them, but also because of his demeanor.

He always seemed to be in his own world, detached from the other children, and uninterested in their company.

He was quieter, more introspective, and seemed to have an almost adult-like understanding of the world around him, and he rarely smiled at anyone .

"I wanted to surprise you for once," the caregiver teased with a playful smile.

Xylon's gaze shifted to Eva once again as he processed what had just been revealed to him. "You could blame her for my cold meeting," he stated matter-of-factly. "I never knew you existed."

The caregiver could sense the tension in the air as Xylon and Eva continued to regard each other silently. She couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that Xylon was finally acknowledging his sister, but also a twinge of worry at the icy demeanor he maintained.

"You know, Eva has been looking forward to meeting you for a long time," the caregiver said, trying to ease the tension in the room. "She's been practicing drawing pictures for you and writing stories about the adventures you two will have together."

Xylon remained silent for a moment, seemingly lost in thought. Finally, he spoke. "I don't know if I'm ready for that," he said, his voice quiet and hesitant. "I've never had a sibling before, and I don't know how to act around her."

The caregiver placed a reassuring hand on Xylon's shoulder. "It's okay to feel unsure," she said gently. "But just remember that Eva is your family, and she's here for you. You don't have to pretend to be someone you're not around her. Just be yourself, and let your relationship with her grow naturally."

" Do you want to see the orphanage ? " Eva said with a sweet smile on her face .

Xylon looked at her for a long time before he just said :" No ...I have been locked here for five years ..I want to see outside ..I want to see how these people lives in the world"

The caregiver knew that Xylon was different but she never expected that he would say this at his first encounter with the world .

Eva's bright smile faded as Xylon's words sank in. She had always known that her brother was different from the other children, but hearing him speak with such maturity and longing for the outside world made her heart ache.

She took a deep breath and tried to hide her disappointment. "I understand," she said softly. "But the orphanage is a safe place for children like us. We will be taken care of and given a chance to live a normal life."

Xylon nodded, but his eyes remained distant. "I know," he replied. "But I want to see more than that. I want to see the world beyond these walls, the one that's been taken over by demons."

In the tales of old, it is said that when the demons took over the human world, a darkness fell upon the land. It seemed like all hope was lost, and the fate of humankind hung in the balance. But then, a miracle occurred that changed everything.

A new generation of humans was born, and they possessed a power so divine, so pure, that it had never been seen before. It was as if the world had chosen them to be its champions, arming them with a weapon to protect themselves against the forces of evil.

This gift of divine power was a beacon of hope in a world that had been plunged into chaos. It was a symbol of the strength and resilience of the human spirit, and those who possessed it embraced it with a fierce determination to use it to protect and defend their fellow humans.

For some, the discovery of this power was a shock, an unexpected turn of events that they had no choice but to accept. They were born into a world that was already at war, and they knew that their abilities would be essential in the fight to come.

But despite the challenges ahead, they were ready to face them, armed with the holy gift that had been bestowed upon them by the world itself.

With a cold  voice, he said while looking to Eva, "I don't want to be trapped in an orphanage the moment I got out of the Haven !"
