Is Gabriel finally noticing my efforts?

"Omg. She likes Jeremiah! This is so unexpected!" Sarah whispered to herself. She finds it fascinating that someone like Hanna, who is the school's top student, has a crush on Jeremiah, the dumbest kid in school.

At that moment, she immediately thought of a plan to become a cupid of the two and maybe, she thought, if Jeremiah isn't there to bother her anymore, she would have more time to spend with Gabriel. And maybe, she might succeed at making him look her way. Throughout the whole lesson, Sarah's imagination ran wild.

When the bell rang, indicating that lunch is about to start for the students, Sarah immediately went to Hanna's table. She cheerfully invited her to lunch.

"Hey! Are you busy right now?" She first carefully said. Hanna is known to be really shy towards everyone. That's why she rarely has any friends around her.

"Um-mm. N-not really... I-I'm just about to eat lunch..." she said with a blush on her cheeks, making her look as cute as a bunny that made Sarah has an unknown eager to pinch her cheeks. However, she doesn't want to scare her prey so she debated against it.

"Great! You should eat lunch with us. I noticed that you're always eating alone during lunch so I decided to try and invite you today. I hope you don't mind? It'll just be me, Gabriel and Jeremiah." Sarah said, making sure to put a stress on Jeremiah's name, and as if a magic word has been said, Hanna's blush became brighter and she started to twirl her fingers on a little group of her hair strands.

"S-sure" Hanna replied with a slight smile on her lips. Her reaction made Sarah's guess of Hanna having a crush on Jeremiah strengthen.

"Great! Lemme just grab my stuffs and then we'll go." Sarah said, she then strutted on her table fast and grabbed her belongings. She also, knocked on Jeremiah's table where the young man is sleeping soundly.

"Mmmh?" He grumbled silently.

"It's time for lunch, let's go" She informed him, Jeremiah then stretches his arms to awaken himself a little more.

"We're you playing games until late at night again?" Sarah nagged. She knew Jeremiah's vices very well. Especially since they've been friends since they we're kids. She knew how much of a trouble maker he his, that's why she still can't understand why someone as cute as Hanna has a crush on him.

"Yes! And I won. Worth every hours I spent playing!" Jeremiah bragged that made Sarah shakes her head. She didn't bother to argue back because she knew that it'll be just like punching the air. Jeremiah would never change.

Gabriel however, is different in Sarah's eyes. He's very responsible and doesn't get addicted to childish stuffs like video games. Yes, he might be cold and aloof to everyone but that only adds to his charm because he isn't a womanizer either. For Sarah, Gabriel is like a prince charming who is given by God for her.

"Gabriel, let's eat lunch together okay?" Sarah hopefully said. Yes, she wasn't really sure if Gabriel would eat with them, she just always assumes that he will. Sometimes, Gabriel would share the lunch table with them, but most of the time he would be nowhere to be seen. That's why when Gabriel nod and stood up to go to the canteen with them, Sarah was brimming with happiness.

"Okay..." She said with a huge grin in her face. Seems like the sun is finally shining down on her. Sarah couldn't help but smile all the way down until they got to the canteen.

She feel so happy and proud.
