The host of the event finally announced that the last piece was finally sold. It was Nathan who bought it in a staggering amount. He said that it was all worth it. He already had a plan to give it to an investor in exchange for a business favor.
"How did you know that he would like that painting?" I asked him, still perplexed at how the business world works. It was too complicated for my simple mind, but I wished I could understand him, so in a way, I could help him.
"Because he just fought me for it. He was the other guy who tried to outbid me." Nathan revealed to me.
I looked at the other man, who looked not to be older than Nathan, but with a foreign feature. He must be as rich as Nathan since he did bid quite high for that final piece.
