After that meeting at the center of missions, Kris had to stay with the elders for a long time as they were interrogating the people who did the attack. He wanted to get a conclusion to the whole incident , but those people were so persistent.
They kept saying her name even though it was very clear that they were lying to him.
The elders were satisfied with that result. That is why they kept asking him to end the interrogation but he just couldn't admit that it was over .

The elders wouldn't accept him using his powers for the sake of a normal investigation .
