Quarter Finalist (III)

Alexander looked Vin in the eyes, with true determination blossoming across his face, mirrored only by his sharp and resounding response, "Never!" He grimaced with pain, paying the price of whatever action he did to attempt to procure victory. His only goal now being just to enter the Semi-Finalist, the top four. To gain the glorious rewards just outside his reach.

With his teeth still clenched tightly, his already defined body bulked up further, becoming only comparable to those of greek statues. His veins unnaturally bulged across his body. With this show in front of him, Vin shook his head with disappointment and chose not to play along with his enemy powering up again. "Yeah… no. 50 Shades, 50 Shades, 50 Shades, 50 Shades, 50 Shades, 50 Shades."

The "final stand" Alexander tried to do was hurriedly prevented by six quick attacks. Vin seemed to be poking the air, and where ever his finger poked, a laser would then appear and pierce through the air to reach Alexander.

Vin shook his head again, band began his monologue while walking towards Alexander, who was limply laying on the ground, "Did you really think I'd let you transform twice?" He tapped his own temple while looking down towards his defeated opponent.

He then crouched down, right beside Alexander and angrily sighed, only to continued this speech. "Why did you make me do this? You're fighting so you can barely make it to the semi finals! Think, Alexander!" He paused just a short to think, then continued his entirely original speech, "You already outlasted every fragile, weaker classmate in this tournament. You already lost to me and still tried to fight! What will have after this fight?"

Alexander weakly responded, "I'll have my honor." To which Alexander then coughed and groaned in pain. Vin tsk'd as he looked at Alexander, picking him up and carefully bringing him to the masked individuals.

Giving him the amazing opportunity to observe these uniquely crafted wooden puppets, they were quite fine pieces of arts truth be told. It was quite an oddity that each of the puppets were covered in wood related energies, without an exception between the numbered puppets. What was even odder was the method that the puppets were being controlled, as there was no energy connection between the puppet and the puppeteer.

Vin sighed internally, sadly dropping this intriguing case as he saw Alexander get healed by the puppets. There wasn't a speck or grain of hope in finding out the puppeteers whereabouts. All he could do now was watch the fights to ste- cough- borrow skills from his potential opponents. His wandering eyes attention were naturally moved towards the arena containing the daoist and man in the black suit, focusing closely on the daoist's energy.

The suited man kicked outwards with a literal, fiery passion. With each strike his foot would be engulfed in a chaotic flame, bringing hell with it, then the very moment his foot was no longer in contact with his enemy it would vanish into a serene calm. Sadly for him, the daoist would perfectly block with a Qi covered palm. The suited man would then be forced on to be defensive shortly by the flying sword the daoist controlled.

The daoist was lucky and unlucky to have this unique form of energy, it let him do things others couldn't with ease. At the same time, he couldn't be taught regular skills and had to even form his own ranking system of major and minor realms. Currently he was a weak 6th stage Qi Condensation realm, as he called it. His realm could roughly equal that of someone half way through tier 4. More than a tier past the limit for the tournament, luckily for him in this world's system, he was only tier one.

"Gayatri Mantra!" The daoist yelled out, putting his fingers together making special signs. A fog began to appear around him, encompassing the entire arena. He closed his eyes after this, his mouth continuously mouthing the same thing. The suited man took notice of this and launched a crescent of flames from a kick. The daoist continued to stand in the same place, only action he did was wave his his hand in a circle. Then right before the crescent could reach him, he disappeared!

Powerful words then were uttered from in front of the suited man, "Mountain Splitting Palm Strike!" The words came from the daoist who palm had now struck the chest of the suited man. The entirety of the fog split in two from his attack, not even daring to reform. His opponent, luckily, did not carry the same fate, instead he was disrespectfully launched across the arena. Hitting the barrier with a loud bang before falling to the arena's floor.

Vin looked away from this fight which seemed to be coming to an end and saw the rest were also coming to an end. Mitzi had slowed down her perception of time, essentially making everything except her thoughts slower. So all the weapons thrown at her through the portals were moving at easily noticeable speeds. Eventually she increased her body's flow of time, making all her body functions faster, including her speed and beat up her opponent.

For the fight between near infinite energy amount and near infinite energy strength, borderline meteors were falling on the latter. Him simply attacked with pure energy causing the meteor skills to falter, then shatter into pieces. The problem was there were too many, if he destroyed one, she would summon two. If he destroyed two, she would summon four. At this point, sixteen meteors were crashing down towards him, one of the masked puppets quickly saved him before his body got crushed into a red paint.

Vin saw the repetitive meteors and thought he wouldn't be surprised if she started trying to summon a ten tailed beast.

Four of the puppets then guided them all to one of the walls that eclipsed the arenas. The Grand Distortion phased into existence as the group stopped before the wall. A portal was made that each of them courageous stepped through, with much pride in their steps. What stood before the group on the other side was an entirely black room that was hard to determine where the walls began and ended.

Before the portal closed behind them, they heard a band begin to play music during this time so the audience wouldn't be so bored.

The puppets then had a purple mist cover them and vanished from the place they stood. The Grand Distortion then spoke with nobleness in his voice, "Once again we meet, all four of you are competing for different reasons, but for the same goal."

"This." He imparted with mystique. Snapping his fingers loudly and causing a translucent circular shape made from purple and black lights to blink into existence, inscribed with many over laying runes, but only on half of it.

It was the half completed concept sigil.
