I Became a Leader of a New Nation while in Exile

It was supposed to be a new, quiet, and simple life for 15-year-old noble boy Nate Wole, who was kicked out and exiled by his family for being too weak in favor of his older brother, Hertzel, a selfish warrior who cares only about himself and his skills in magic. Desperate, he traveled to the lowlands of Wooda, where while camping, he had an unlucky encounter with one of the collection of tribes of the Undead Animals, a bunch of hostile undead animals who can wield weapons and shapeshift into humans and were despised and hunted by humans. After getting killed by one of them under an Undead lion named Sati, Nate was saved by them after they regretted their decision to kill him, and Sati eventually gave his position as tribal leader to him. Nate was shocked to here that, but he has no choice but to accept it. And now, he is a leader of Sati’s lion tribe. Soon, he united the other Undead tribes under the new country name, Wooda, while studying to be a good leader, and changed his identity to Lloyd Lewole, completely vanishing his old identity in order to forget his past. But, will he handle such a great responsibility?

Chapter 67 – About those prisoners of war…

Third person POV

Then, after that, Ivory asked Camden if his guild has a place to live. "Yes, my guild has a sleeping quarters," replied Westlan nicely. "It's in the second floor, and soon, I will be planning to add a second building for more sleeping quarters for new members." This makes Ivory and her friends happy because they will have a place to live on Wooda. Lloyd was happy to hear that, adding, "Well, enjoy your new life here."

He then left the guild as Camden, Westlan, and others wavered him goodbye.

At this point, Camden and his female friends are now residents in Westlan's guild, and Westlan welcomed them for the second time.

Meanwhile, Lloyd went back home. There Zeke was in his office. "Oh, Zeke-kun," Lloyd said to him as he entered his office, "you're back."

"Yes, I am back, master," replied Zeke back while standing next to his master's desk.

Lloyd then closed the door and first told him about his friends from Langton now as official members of Westlan's guild.

Zeke was surprised and impressed by it. "Ah, nice one. It seems our word against your arrogant older brother had come true."

Lloyd then smiled. "Yup!"

After that, Zeke gave him his report on his squad's scouring on the area of Langton east of the border of Wooda. According to him, the raiding camp by Langton was nowhere to be found, meaning that it had given up raiding their country. A bit later, Lloyd was surprised but was relieved that his former kingdom had given up raiding his new home. "Thanks, that was good."

Zeke then nodded. "Yes, for now, I guess."

And then after that, Sati came and gave Lloyd and Zeke his and Xerxes' new, updated reports about the current status of their prisoners of war back at Lewole's two fortresses. Upon hearing that, Lloyd and Zeke looked at him, and Zeke responded, "Ah, okay, thank you for the report."

"Yes, we appreciated that," Lloyd added.

"Thank you, Lloyd-sama, Zeke-kun," Sati replied back gratefully.

Then, his expression turned a bit serious. "So, what should we do with those people from Langton?"

To that, Lloyd and Zeke began to think about it, considering the possible options while wanting to remain ethnical on their treatment of them.

But this will take a while for them to figure out the right thing to do on them.

At the same time, at Langton's capital, Albert summoned Hertzel and the soldiers under him to ask them about the other soldiers that were not with them. "We left them behind in Bewote," replied Hertzel back. Tyle is a bit upset that his son would abandon his country's soldiers to the hands of their 'enemy'.

Albert was also upset and was even more conflicted than ever.

Because of this, Tyle intervened and made a formal apology to him for his son's 'foolishness'.

So, eventually, Albert accepted his apology and thanked Hertzel for telling him about it, before dismissing them from his presence for now.

As Hertzel, Tyle, and their soldiers left his royal court, Albert couldn't feel calm because of this, while his two children, who were there the whole time, couldn't help but feel bad for Lloyd.

But why?
