"You only come when it's mealtime, isn't that a bit too extravagant?"
Ji Yao, cradling her face, felt slightly startled and a bit uncomfortable with this.
"I'm not some precious princess, and besides, it's not like they owe you their lives, just a favor. Spending favors this way isn't too good for you either."
Her gaze shifted and settled back onto Lu Jincheng, as she spoke.
Lu Jincheng couldn't help but smile, his eyes curving, a light smirk playing on his lips.
"Are you considering this for me?"
Ji Yao choked, then glared at him annoyedly.
"Not being serious."
However, her response to the question he had actually asked was somewhat beside the point.
Lu Jincheng received the answer he wanted, the smile in his eyes deepening. As for Ji Yao's concerns, he didn't take them to heart at all.
