Meeting the Gods! (Part 2)

"little friend many millenniums ago the entire universe wasn't like what it is today. There was magic, there was spiritual power, cultivators, martial artists, magicians. All these paths led to the final stage of divinity that was becoming a god."

Lucifer widened his eyes in disbelief afterall there had always been debates about the origin of gods no one knew whether they were born or worked their way up but today the secret was led open in front of him.

But this aroused a question in his mind as to why weren't their any new generation of gods in his time then afterall although the talent and hardwork would be tremendous to become one but still it was hard to believe not even a single person could crack this challenge in all this time.

Noticing his thoughts God Shai just gave a soft smile and continued,

"All your questions shall be answered my friend have patience.."

"We called all the practices I mentioned earlier together as the path of celestials and these didn't just belong to humans there were all kinds of species excelling at it too. All of us we were not born as gods but it was our hardwork, efforts and talents in the path of celestials that made us the gods we are today your speculation is right but its just that the so called magic or spriritual power we absorbed and trained in has now vanished from you universe."

All the gods and goddesses sighed in pain and disappointment. Lucifer could feel the sudden change in atmosphere.

God Shai continued,

"In the era when we were at our prime a catastrophe occurred in the entire universe, a war with beings from another alien galaxy which no one had ever heard of before. These beings were identical to humans but they were much powerful than us. There origin of power was their innate ability called as 'devour'. After some unfathomable mutations the skill cap of this devour skill of theirs had been broken by them and thus they had begun the wanton devouring of energies so much so that they devoured their own galaxy unsatisfied these hungry filth turned their spears towards other galaxies. "

"Destroying them one by one, their power grew more and more so much so that not even all gods of our galaxy combined were match for these hungry beings. At the end we could only watch helplessly as all living beings were slaughtered but we never gave up. All of us branded together and transferred our energies to the god of will the strongest god amongst us all."

All the gods exhaled deeply after God Shai recalled about God OF Will,

"The god of will sacrificed his life and used a divine forbidden skill which altered the most important law of universe- The will of destiny. It was by using this forbidden skill that he had changed the fate of the power hungry morons by entrapping them in the wheel of destiny for all these millenniums. The price he paid was not small indeed just after using the skill he died right before us disintegrating into dust. Even now the only thing stopping them from coming out is the magic energy of the universe which was sealed as a source for powering the entrapment by us. After which all the remaining life scattered in the vast universe until a few millenniums ago when the first contact was established by you humans with other galactic species."

Lucifer's breathing was heavy he could have never imagined that the history of mankind was so complex and vast. It was unfathomable how devastated the people after the war would have been in that era. Lucifer couldn't imagine the destruction of planets let alone galaxies and it was even living creatures who had carried out this destruction by their own hands.

But there were many questions running in his mind right now.

Noticing the questioning gaze of Lucifer, God Shai breathed heavily before continuing.

"approximately two thousand years ago the seal on the magic particles was broken leading to a major leakage of magic particles in the universe."

Lucifer nodded in understanding as surely two thousand years ago humanity had indeed discovered these particles.

"But there is a good news, we don't know why but some genetic mutations in humans have made them more flexible in using magic almost 10 times better than our generation. But still this wont be enough."

Lucifer furrowed his brows and asked, "this wont be enough ...enough for what?"

God Shai didn't reply instead he closed his eyes, sighing in pain. Lucifer looked at all other gods but all of them were silent.

"God Shai let me take it from here" God Shiva stepped forward and gave a bright smile to Lucifer

"Little friend aren't you curious about your own origins"

Although Lucifer felt something odd as if he was being misdirected but still curiosity was a wonderous thing he immediately gave up on his previous thought process and replied enthusiastically,

"ofcourse I am"
