Chapter – 42 King-Tier Beast

Max stayed where he was, he didn't want to join in a fight that he had no chance of winning. All of those hunters were fighting the beast but they were only able to hurt it by a bit only their leader was able to make some damage to the beast. If not for him the beast would have killed everyone else there easily. He was making sure that the beast's attention would remain on him then the others can attack him.

"He is faring better than the rest of his team; I would stay here only if I see there's a chance to defeat this beast then I'll join them." Max was still not sure about this beast and out of everything, this beast was the same as the other beast that were living in this area, then this beast would be also strong like them and there's also the unidentified ability that this beast might have.

While the beast was trying the attack the leader, two of the other guys get behind the beast and jump over on his back, trying to pierce his skin with their weapons but their weapons were only able to prick the beast and nothing more. Sensing the tingling pain from his back the beast rolled over on his back to squash the humans but those two were able to jump off from the beast's back before they would have gotten squashed. The beast was getting annoyed as he was constantly getting hurt but he was not able to kill even a single one of his attackers all because of one damn human who was keeping him busy.

"This guy was strong but to able to keep up with a King-tier beast is amazing and still hadn't gotten hurt. I need to be careful of him." Max was watching the current battle interestingly.

Looking at the current situation, Max concluded that if they continued fighting the same way the beast would be dead in no time. The beast was trying his best to hit the leader with his punches but to no avail, it wasn't working, that guy was quite nimble and because of his small figure, he was easily able to dodge the beast's punches. Seeing that nothing was working against his attacker the beast took a long breath and released a loud roar.

"Rooooooaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhh"

Hearing the beast scream everyone's ear was hurt because of it and for some seconds they were not even able to control their movement and the beast knew that it would happen and it instantly started attacking everybody, this time even the leader was a bit fazed by that. Seeing that beast was going for other members of his team he started dashing towards the beast to attack it but the beast was faster and with its one punch the beast smashed the human into a pulp, that guy was not even able to defend himself but considering the strength of the beast even if he had tried defending himself the outcome would have been the same.

The leader was back to his normal senses after some seconds he continued to fight the beast while the others took time to regain their senses back. This time rather than just dodging and some-time attacking the beast, their leader was attacking a lot and dodging the beast's attacks by a hairline. Getting attacked like that was making the beast angry and it wasn't even able to kill other humans cause every time it goes for them this human shows up in front of him to attack.

"That was one loud scream it even took some of my health, my ears are still hurting. Was that its ability? But there was something different about its scream, it was not just loud it felt like everything was vibrating. Wait! Does this beast's ability is related to vibrations cause even that time when I fought that monkey his one punch was also able to shake my whole body." Now Max had finally found out their ability he was a bit confident against these beasts.

"These beasts might be able to release these vibrations through their whole body that's why all the time they were fighting with their punches and I'm sure if they were able to hit someone, they would have definitely made some internal damage." Max realized the reason behind their fighting style and now he was thinking of an effective way to counter this ability.

"Unlike some other abilities, it's not an external attack and the only thing I can do is just dodge all of its attacks to not get affected by its ability." Max was not sure what other possible way can help him in this situation, even though he was not the one fighting currently he was getting tensed because of all the overthinking and how or what he would have done if he were the one fighting the beast right now.

All the other members of the group were back to their senses and they were feeling a bit of pain in their whole body but they ignored it and continued to attack the beast like before and seeing that the others are back to normal the leader again switched his tactics and get back to dodging the beast's attack. The beast realized that he was again at a disadvantage so it tried to do the scream again but this time the leader, interrupted it with a powerful blow to the abdomen of the beast. And everyone else was able to see how powerful the impact was, causing the beast to push back some inches from his previous position.

They continued attacking the beast from every direction, now the beast was even bleeding from some parts of its body, and his white fur was slowly turning into black because of the blood. Everyone was also attacking more eagerly now cause they were close to killing the beast, on the other hand, Max was still not sure whether he should also join the fight or not cause even if joined them he won't be able to damage the beast because his weapon was of Advanced-tier.

"Only if Francis wouldn't have closed his shop, then I would be able to get a Rare-Tier weapon made for me." Max was regretting about his lack of weapon right now as he was not able to fight the beast cause of that. "Only if I would have been able to do a bit of damage to it, I might have gotten enough Exp. to level up right now. Should I try attacking with the Space ball but I'm not sure whether it would even damage it or not, Aaaarrghh." Max was getting a bit angry now, it was like there was a delicious meal in front of him and everyone else was eating that but someone had tied his hands and forced him to watch them enjoy.

The beast attacks were getting duller and duller on the other side the leader was getting fiercer with his attacks, he was dodging most of the beast attacks easily and he was putting more and more strength in his attacks now. If someone would have to count all the slashes on the beast's body there would be more than hundreds on it and more than half has been made by this guy alone.

After some more attacks, the beast's body dropped to the side of the ground and it was dead, everyone started cheering and hugging each other in the joy of killing a King-Tier beast, one of the guys run towards the dead beast and started slashing its body to take out the crystal but his attacks were not effective against the King-Tier beast. The leader walked towards the body seeing that this guy was not able to take out the crystal.

"Move!" the leader said that and the other guy moved without wasting a single second. The leader used his sword to slash the beast's body just like the other beasts of this type their Beast crystal was near the left ribs, and the leader opened a huge hole in the beast's body, "Come here and now take out the crystal, make sure you clean it properly." The leader commanded the guy from earlier and after a minute he was able to take out the crystal, Max was surprised to see the crystal was the same size as any other crystal and it was able to give enough power to make the beast that strong.

Seeing the crystal in front of his eyes, the leader's eyes were sparkling and he had a grin on his face, "Now, I don't have any use for you guys. Goodbye all of you, just pray to you gods that in next life you won't meet me again." Saying that the leader dashed towards the first guy who was closest to him and beheaded him in one strike, it was the same guy who was holding the crystal earlier, after he died the crystal and his body both dropped on the ground. Ignoring the crystal for now the leader go after the others and killed all of them in one strike.

"F**k, this guy is insane he is killing the people who helped him." Max was not expecting this from that guy cause earlier that same guy was saving all of these people and now he is killing them. Max had another idea while the leader was busy killing the other guys' Max used his skill to arrive where the Beast Crystal was and took it before the leader could even look behind to see who has appeared there Max again disappeared from his place and appeared below the huge tree.

"Shit, I need to run now." After arriving at the bottom of the tree Max had only a bit of his stamina left and he again used it to pass the hunters who were guarding the area.
