Chapter 20 - Law of Fate

While Liu Kong was preparing to break through, Wang Tian was observing the golden fate inside Liu Kong.

Previously, with the golden seed of fate as the center, a vortex was formed as it slowly spins in place.

But it had long stopped spinning since quite a while ago.

And now, while Liu Kong was preparing for a breakthrough, the golden fate inside of him started to show signs of moving again.

As Wang Tian observes the golden fate inside Liu Kong, he found signs similar to the calm before the storm.

Something came to Wang Tian's mind while looking at the current state of the golden fate inside Liu Kong.

Especially now that his familiarity with his World Authority increases as time passed, Wang Tian could see even more clearly the possibilities that could happen in Liu Kong's future.

While Liu Kong was still preparing himself, Wang Tian saw a thread of law on Liu Kong's soul. That thread of law connected Liu Kong's soul with the mortal world's laws using the Fate law.

Looking at that law thread, Wang Tian was going to take another look at the laws in the mortal world.

With the power from his true soul, Wang Tian sends his consciousness to follow a thread of law that connects with the soul of Liu Kong. It was the law of fate.

Following the thread of Fate law, his consciousness soon arrived in a different world.

Strands of light with various color drifts everywhere inside this space. It was the different types of laws that were flowing everywhere in this space.

All of them seemed to be either going out or going into the center of this place. The core of this place.

'The mortal world's laws.' Wang Tian thought to himself after looking at the massive rainbow-like core at the center of this space.

The core of the mortal world's laws.

The one thing that runs and protects the mortal world. Without it, the world would be in a chaotic state. It would be indescribable.

This was the first time Wang Tian arrived in this place.

Previously, when he was observing the fate inside Liu Kong, it was only at a surface level. It was like he was just seeing from a television. Now he was looking at this place directly with his own eyes.

Looking at this scene, some things came to his mind.

The Authority he has was something that pertains to the ownership and control over the world.

And while Wang Tian hasn't mastered the Authority he has, he could still feel the Authority he had was not perfect.

It was split.

When the laws of the immortal world grew stronger, the Heaven realm collapsed, and the mortal grew a bit stronger as well, the Authority of the world was divided.

Especially considering Heaven's heinous act previously which was not good for the world. The world instinctively did something to take care of it, which was the splitting of the Authority even though it was a bad move.

Wang Tian, as the 'successor' of Heaven, received what was left of the Authority.

Heaven used to have complete control of everything.

But that since the Authority had been divided, the Authority from Heaven was split.

After receiving quite a huge amount of Authority, the immortal world became independent from Heaven. At this point, the immortal world will slowly become an independent world.

A world within a world.

At the same time, the mortal world received some of the Authority as well. Gaining a little boost. With that little bit of Authority, the mortal world's laws became stronger.

As time passes, all the living beings in the mortal world will be strengthened.

And the source of it was the thing in front of Wang Tian.

The Authority of the mortal world.

Even though Wang Tian was here in his soul form, he felt like taking a deep breath.

He was thinking of taking over this Authority.

Some of them looked similar to Liu Kong's core. Glowing.

Some of them seemed like the flame was about to be extinguished. Running out of fuel.

There were also the ones who didn't seem to be able to glow and stayed dim instead.

Looking at the various state of the fate seed, Wang Tian seemed like he could grasp something.

After another look at the other fate seeds, Wang Tian got back to see Liu Kong's fate.

Wang Tian reached out with his consciousness at Liu Kong's fate seed, and scenes entered his mind.

It was Liu Kong's life. The life in which he would have lived if Wang Tian didn't take him away.

Liu Kong would be living in an orphanage. Growing up until he was around 16 years old.

Then he would go out to travel.

That's when he would have an encounter with 2 cultivators fighting to the death.

After both of them died from heavy injuries, Liu Kong went to loot their dead bodies.

Liu Kong became a cultivator after looting the 2 cultivators' remains.

With Liu Kong's golden fate, the dangerous encounter he met will transform into an opportunity for him as long as he still has his fate.

Watching all of this, Wang Tian didn't need to see everything to understand, so he stopped.

Previously, he focused on the part about the life that was supposed to be Liu Kong's original life. Wang Tian was able to see it because it exists in this fate core. It was like a discarded part of this fate core.

With Wang Tian's intervention, Liu Kong's life changed.

After going through Liu Kong's supposed past, Wang Tian went to see the possible futures that Liu Kong might go through.
