As for the angels above, with their heavenly divine eye, they could see a much more horrifying sight; The beautiful Earth started to become flooded, not by water, but by dark entities. Smog-like creatures, hiding bones within their bodies of smoke. Anything their deathly beings touched began to decay almost instantaneously, whether it be demons or insentient structures in the world. They were seemingly unaffected by the Divine Water that was raining upon the Earth, as if they were eternally dead and cannot be changed even by the blessings of God.
Behind those skeletal beings were humanoids draped with eerily dark hoods. On their pale white hands were scythes with blades that were at least 50 inches in length. Their blades were adorned with complex runes and scripts that were unrecognizable to anyone except God Himself. These beings started waving their blades, harvesting souls after souls without stop. Noah saw all that, his fear rose to greater heights, his faith even more.
One of these harvesters looked up at the angels without any fear emanating from within, and flew up towards them.
"Are you the current Scribe?" The being asked with a deep, lifeless voice. "I am." The man with 72 wings responded.
"The Master expresses its gratitude to yours for trusting it with such endeavor once more. Please relay the message that we would be going to the Infernal Realm to punish the abusers."
"We servants thank you on behalf of our God." The Scribe bowed slightly at the servant of the Nether Abyss, with the other angels behind him following suit. The servant then added, 'My Master also wants to relay the message that a major disturbance in time has occurred. The God needs to be alerted of said disturbance."
"I will relay all of the messages that your Master desires to relay." The Scribe nodded in affirmation. After the conversation between the servants of the two supreme beings, the reaper turned around and reunited with the other harvesters and left the Earth, returning into the holes that they came out from. The angels had also stopped raining down their authority over the lands.
Earth, once abundant with all kinds of life, was now gray, barren. Continents had split and shattered and the seas lost all life. Darkness loomed over the lands. Since the beginning of the slaughter, 144 days had passed. Noah, looking at the lifeless place, looked at the Scribe to see what he would do. Much to his disappointment, however, the Scribe stayed put.
Instead, the angel holding a wooden staff, came down from the skies and struck his staff to the ground before proclaiming with arms stretched wide, "Father gives life. Father heals."
As he said this, the soil where the staff stood began to show a different color, turning greener than ever before. As the greenery expanded throughout the world, the man cladded in golden armor also followed as he proclaimed with his sword raised high, "Father, protect thy dominion!" With that, a golden barrier surrounded the world, preventing any outside forces from influencing what was happening.
As all these were being done, the Scribe raised up the scroll in his hands and declared with a strong voice echoing throughout the Earth, "Heaven purifies the world!"
With those words, the skies began to brighten, and a much more powerful rain started to pour down from the heavens. As the divine rain fell onto the ground, it immediately went back up, which made a flood impossible to even form. Together, the three beings began to rejuvenate the once barren landscape of Earth, and Noah was there to marvel at it all. The people inside, sensing that it was already safe outside, went up and watched as the divinities returned what was lost to the world.
The Ark that was currently suspended mid-air through the power of the Sacred Chest, began to glide down, descending on a mountain, where they all rested.
The mountain that they rested at was the Greater Sarjena Mountain, where The Heavenly State began its plans to expand the territory to fight against the Nephtal Empire. Looking at how far he had gotten, he felt blessed. Above the mountain, the angels, with their elegance and magnificence, sang a holy piece to creation to celebrate its renewal. With praises, they sung, "Glory to God Most High! Glory to His creation! Sing praises to His name and forever have eternal life in His embrace!"
The plants and the trees and the wind and the seas swayed and blew, as if singing together with them. Those inside the Ark also couldn't resist and sung together with the angels. "Glory to God Most High! Glory to His creation! Sing praises to His name and forever have eternal life in His embrace!"
As the rain continued, a rainbow, different from other rainbows that had ever appeared down on Earth, manifested. Its 108 colors were clearly visible to all of existence. The others, not wanting to deny the others this sight, called out to the other people that were still inside the Ark to look.
Soon, everyone laid their eyes on the new sight. A little later, the people also saw incorporeal figures rising up from the ground, with some even being recognized by the others as their relatives, friends, and comrade-in-arms. Noah even saw Lamech and the great leaders of the different houses that joined the fight fifty years ago that died just a few years ago. Crying, they all knelt down as they praised God's grace and fulfilling mercy. Noah also saw Ilmar, now united with his father Shanti, which caused a sweet smile to appear on his face.
While they were rejoicing, however, Noah became shocked speechless. While the others were marveling at the sight to behold outside, Noah focused at the peak of the other side of Greater Sarjena, the one that was separated and also the one where his journey as the savior of humanity began. There, he saw a man, majestic in stature and presence, looking over at them with a smile on his face. It was Dawid, the man who possesses God's direct grace.
Before he could even fly over, Dawid vanished from his position. The Scribe, also gazing at where Dawid was previously, said to Noah telepathically, "He shall not be seen by your generation for your generation had already been given God's holiest grace. But time will come when darkness would return to the world and his lineage would come forth and once more bring God's glory to the world."
Noah, looking at the Scribe, asked, "Why would darkness come back? Can't God's Grace last forever and ever?"
The Scribe looked at Noah's eyes directly. Without even saying a single thing, Noah saw the reason. His legs lost their strength, faced with the truth no mortal should have had knowledge to.
A glimpse of the Meaning of Existence.
