Conflict Between Asshur and The Angels, Arrival

The Constabulary that was once under the command of Shinar had also started to break off, establishing their own enforcements in their own cities. Although certain laws from The Heavenly Empire were still being followed, cities such as Mizraim and Nubisia began to form their own laws that fits their needs.

Mizraim and Nubisia, these two cities that were once insignificant, became the two rivaling cities in the Southwest that started to establish their own settlements and towns that are under them and not the Empire's. Their influence in the region soon became greater than that of the city of Shinar.

The city in question, on the other hand, still continuously poured their resources into the construction of the tower, now 205 stories tall. It has already started to surpass the clouds. Already, people started questioning what purpose does the tower truly holds. It already wasn't about God.

Soon, unrest began to brew within the Central Lands. Asshur couldn't even care less. Although he doesn't, there were those who mind it; The Angels.

Since the enaction of the new language, the angels had already developed quite the distaste towards humanity. Their intentions to help were shunned, and blasphemous actions towards God had become rampant.

Now, another human act seemed to have finally sparked off the angelic order's wrath; The tower was already nearing their dominion in the skies. They cannot just let them continue. Unanimously, the angels began putting pressure on the people that were sending materials above. Some began choking, losing their breath, ears popping, and some would even bleed through their orifices.

This move of the angels had already alerted Asshur, who started to launch assaults at them. This attack alone sparked the heaven's ire.

The skies all over the world began to turn dark. No one knew what Asshur had done, so they only thought that the weather was going bad.

What they did not notice was a cloaked person entering the tower. Despite ascending the stairs in a steady yet dominant manner, not one person noticed his presence.

Because of the bad weather, the tower had quite a lot of visitors, in every floor. Despite the fast construction, the quality of the infrastructure was better than most of the buildings below, having great and sturdy foundation coupled with excellent materials. This tower would definitely be able to endure even the greatest of storms.

Everyone had been thinking the same, except for Asshur himself. He knew that what they were facing was not just any storm, but the anger of the divine. Although he had made the people turn their backs on the Almighty, he still hadn't persuaded enough of them to worship him to become a full-blown divine himself.

He turned to the ghastly being behind him and grunted, "Why did you even persuade me to attack the angels?! We wouldn't be able to resist God's Might!"

"Relax, Ashurbanipal." The being said to him. "He would not lower Himself to deal with us personally. At most, The Scribe would be the only one that would take action. Our God had already given us the necessary item to deal with him." It cackled.

Suddenly, another ghastly being jerked its head, "Someone's coming." It hissed. Immediately, all the creatures within hurriedly hid in the shadows in the surroundings. Asshur adjusted himself and looked at the stairs to see who it was.

Several seconds later, he saw a cloaked person ascend the floor alone. Asshur looked at the person with narrowed eyes and asked, "Who are you? Why did you ascend this floor when its clearly not allowed? Haven't you been informed that people have died ascending the floors?"

The cloaked person didn't answer.

'Speak or leave. Whoever you are, know that I can erase you from this world easily." He spat. From the start, as soon as he saw the person, he suddenly felt a deep-seething hatred boil within him. Because he still did not know who it was, he repressed it. Still, because the person wasn't answering, his temper was tested.

"Foolish man." The cloaked person spoke with ridicule. Offended, Asshur's anger finally erupted, shouting, "Leave!" His authority blasted upon the man as his voice erupted like a trumpet.

Surprisingly for Asshur, the person stood unmoving at the face of his might. Still, the hood that was covering the person's face was blown back. It was an old man, with long, white hair combed neatly to the back, reaching his neck. His eyes looked blankly at Asshur's, no reaction despite being yelled at by a pseudo-deity. It was as if he couldn't care less.

"Who are you to order me around, young man? I have been around for ages, and no one even dared to shout at me like that except for my father." The old man spat hoarsely before sighing, "Times really have passed; I am not respected by anyone anymore. Even that brat was sticking his tongue out at me whenever I reprimand him."

"I asked who are you, geezer." Repressing his wrath, Asshur growled. Given this question, the old man answered, "Me? I'm just an old man who once fought a huge empire just to save humanity."

"Hmm?" Asshur was sent into a deep contemplation, wondering who the man was. Suddenly, he thought of something as his eyes widened in fear, "I-Impossible."

"Oh, you figured it out." The old man smirked. "How are you still alive, Noah!" Asshur shrieked. Now, the hatred that he was feeling beforehand was understandable. HE, the soul born from the ashes of the Nephilim, would naturally feel hatred at the man who led the persecution of them all.

"Hey, hey! We aren't close. Why are you calling me by my first name?" Noah complained his grievance. "What are you doing here, old bones?" Asshur spat angrily.

"Why?" Noah hummed, "Well, I had been living my life of solitude in the mountains when The Almighty approached me again to do His bidding. Of course, I couldn't disagree, so I followed His decree. I was tasked to babysit some people, and to keep them away from harm. The only reason I see that can prove harmful to them is you, so I figured that if I kill, you, I can just go ahead and be alone once more."

Hearing his intentions, Asshur shuddered and shouted, "Save me, Anunnaki!"
