Chapter 100: Doom vs Selene III

A/N: Well it's official readers. This fanfic has now reached 100 chapters. A lot of which is thanks to you all continuing to support my work. I ask you please continue to do so. Since I have a lot planned for this story.

As my battle with Selene was about to resume, and move into its second round, I started making my plan for victory.

Recalling the rules we set for one of us to be declared the winner of this duel yesterday.

We either have to make our opponent yield, kill them three times, or continue fighting until one of us runs out of enough energy to sustain a proper battle.

Obviously option one is a no-go, since at my current level there is no way I can forcefully make Selene submit to me.

I also can't let this become a battle of attrition. Since Selene has much higher energy reserves than me.

Meaning my only option for victory is to kill her three times.

Well two more, since I got lucky and managed to do it once at the beginning of the duel.

But I know pulling off such a feat not just one, but two more times, will certainly be difficult now that Selene has her guard up.

Though that doesn't mean I'm not going to do it.

'Okay. You got this.' I thought to myself.

Time to put in "maximum effort" as a certain undying, 4th wall breaking assassin would say.

Who I definitely hope to meet one day. Maybe even do a team up with. People could call us the double D's.

But that's for later.

Summoning several spell circles around me I fired off blasts of pure magical energy in Selene direction.

Seeing this she conjured those same black flames from earlier and used them to create a dome around herself. One which blocked all of my energy blasts.

Because of this I stopped my attack.

When I did the black flame dome Selene created dispersed.

Only the woman herself was nowhere to be seen when it did. For there was nothing inside the dome after it disappeared.

Seeing this I tightened up my defenses even further than they already were.

Waiting for when she would inevitably strike.

Which I didn't have to wait long for.

My Spider-sense started blaring seconds after Selene black dome dispersed.

The threat coming from behind me.

Which I didn't understand.

Since there was nothing behind me.

Until suddenly there was.

Selene.

Before I could do anything she rose up theroj my fucking shadow, conjured those black flames on her left hand and then touched my left arm. Meanwhile her right hand touched my right arm and I suddenly felt my energy being sucked out of me.

"Agh!!!!" I screamed.

From both the pain of the flames, and Selene draining my life-force from me.

"Shh... It's okay Victor. No need to struggle. Just let mama Selene take care of everything from here on out and you won't ever have to worry about anything again." She whispered.

"Fuck you." I retorted.

I then willed my mask off and pulled a Firebender move from Avatar. Hitting Selene in the face with a blast of my fire breathe.

An aspect of Extremis enhancement I never really use, but damn if it isn't saving my ass right now.

Taking my hot breathe in her face Selene's started to melt off, the rest of her body starting to catch on fire as well. Leading her to loosen her grip on me.

When she did I immediately put some distance between us.

Where I began feeling some relief as the healing properties from all the serums I had injected myself began to kick in and repair the burn damage Selene flames had caused.

Though the energy she managed to drain was not something I was getting back.

Fuck, that was unpleasant.

It also seems that regardless of my armor all Selene needs to do to drain my life-force is make physical contact with me.

That's good to know.

Her entire body now aflame Selene wobbled for a second.

Taking note of this I didn't hesitate to strike.

Rushing towards her I delivered a powerful kick to her head.

Me hearing the audible pop of her neck snapping, just before her body was sent flying across the ground like earlier.

Thus I have now killed Selene two times.

Meaning only one more round to go.

Which might be impossible if I don't figure out how Selene got behind me just now.

Going into the recesses of my mind I sorted through all of my meta-knowledge regarding Selene and suddenly recalled she had a connection to the Darkforce dimension just like the hero Cloak.

Who isn't a thing here yet.

Same for his partner dagger.

Though I hope they will be, considering Roxxon exists in this reality.

Re-summoning my mask I watched as Selene stopped herself from moving any farther from my position.

She then stood up to her feet.

"Yes, oh fuck yes Victor that was so good!" Selene exclaimed. A black and red aura beginning to surround her body. "Now, time for the climax!" She exclaimed.

Then right after energy flowed from Selene into the nearby trees.

Transforming them into grotesque monsters with human-like faces.

Sort of like dark versions of the Digimon, Cherrymon.

Pulling themselves out of the ground they started marching towards me.

"What the hell, I thought we said no outside interference!" I shouted.

"I created them using my powers, and since they are not human it is not breaking the rules. But you should know that given Yao hasn't shown up to stop us." Selene explained.

"Oh no I knew all that. I just wanted confirmation." I replied.

For now I can summon my own army.

I hope this doesn't give Selene the win.

Focusing I summoned forth several Doombots to my side.

I then waited. But when neither my magic was affected, nor did the Ancient One show up, I knew I had not broken any rules of the duel.

So with that I summoned even more Doombots.

All to face Selene tree monster army.

Seeing my robot army she said nothing. Instead she just flicked her wrist. Which in turn caused her tree monster army to charge.

"For Latveria!" I shouted.

Beginning to run forward.

My Doombots running right behind me.

Since I decided to pull a 300 move.

The two armies charged until they met each other.

When they did they started tearing each other apart.

Wood and metal flew through the air, and littered her ground, as mine and Selene army clashed.

Meanwhile the two of us reunited.

Since we are far from finished with each other.
