"What are you crying for? Being my wife is your blessing!"
He spoke the line that he thought was the typical male role.
"Why am I acting like the Mountain King, huh?" He shook his head, trying to erase the scene that popped up in his mind.
"You're acting just like a Mountain King now." Suizi gently traced the pattern on her hairpin.
"Perhaps in a previous life, I was the Mountain King, ruling over the hill, and you were the daughter of a high-ranking official whom I kidnapped. You cried all day."
His words led Suizi's thoughts to roam freely.
"So, if you were the bandit and the wealthy daughter didn't want to be with you, and she cried her eyes out every day, what would you do?"
"Have children."
"???"
"Have many children, until she can't run away— what are you looking at me for? Ancient times weren't like our village, with free condoms, and the contraceptive pills harmed the body. If it were really me, I certainly wouldn't want to hurt my wife."
