CHAPTER 7: ALLIANCE, SCHOOL, AND EVOLUTION

"We're here," Hawk announced as we landed. In front of us is a small hut and and a river. I've never seen such beautiful and clean river in my life. I was about to get close to the water but Hawk picked me up.

‹ You can enjoy the river later, Andromeda.› He said, smiling. No fair! I wiggled my body but I he strengthened his arms. No fair! T^T

We entered the cabin and a man, writing something in a book, welcomed us. I honestly expected an old man but this master of Hawk, I guess, is younger?

"Are they the ones you said in your letter?" The guy said, still not facing us.

"It's inappropriate to talk to your visitors without facing them, you know," Hawk said in a friendly tone.

"Ah, sorry. I was just finishing a chapter in my book," he explained and faced us. He is a hot guy with long ears, gold eyes, and green hair. Are these what they call elf?

"I am Rosh, an elf. I might not look like it but I'm a hundred years old. You must be Priscilla, the witch, and Andromeda, the cat. I am Havoc-hafu's friend that he often call master." He looks so young.

"I am indeed Priscilla, it's nice to meet you." Priscilla greeted him. Hey! You forgot to introduce your cat. Priscilla is really an idiot, it's her responsibility to introduce her cat, you know.

I just meowed at the Elf while still in Hawk's arms. The Elf's eyes twinkled and approached me.

"What a lovely cat. It also has wings and it really do understand our conversation even though it's just a cat." He caressed my body like he's checking me out.

‹Hawk, tell him he's creeping me out.› Hawk laughed.

"Rosh, Andromeda is creeped out, you shouldn't touch her like that."

"Sorry, Andromeda. So Andromeda can really communicate through Telepathy, huh?" Rosh held his chin.

"So, will you help us with the witches?" Priscilla introduced the topic.

"I'll be willing to do so. I'll be able to protect you here in this cabin as long as the Queen herself doesn't invade. Elves have light magic affinity that can be used against the Witches' Black Magic.

The humans also allied with the elves so our forces should be enough to battle them when time comes." Rosh explained. "Hopefully?"

Huh? What was that?

"The humans..." Priscilla thought for a bit. "You mean the capital?"

"Yes, I also advise you to train your forces with the humans. I can write them letters for your admission to their school."

"What do you mean 'school'?" Priscilla asked.

"The humans built a school just to teach children like you about the witches and magic. Don't worry, you should be safe there. I will also register Hafoc and Andromeda so you won't be lonely," Rosh explained and began to write to a paper.

"Will it be fine?" Priscilla asked.

"Of course. There are also demi-humans, Elves, Harpies, Fliogan like Hafoc, Witches like you, and others there." Rosh assured us.

"So the school is outside the Capital?" Priscilla once again asked.

"Yes, the school is on a secluded area away from civilization but I assure you, it's safe there. The Holy Knights and the Mages are there and some of them are teachers. There are also representatives from other kinds."

"We're all facing the danger those Witches bring so the human and monster's nations are joining forces to defeat them." Rosh answered.

School of different beings, huh? Sounds fun.

Though skeptical, Priscilla was ultimately convinced to try to check out the school. If she does not like it, she can just leave and continue living in the forest.

Later that night, an unexpected evolution occurred.

« Individual Andromeda is permitted to evolve into a Human. Upon evolving, skills like [Human Form], [Human Speech], and [Human Senses] will be acquired. The skills of the individual Andromeda will also evolve.» ➪🅈🄴🅂 ➪🄽🄾

Suddenly? What's with this cheat?

That is awfully suspicious.

«The system corresponds to your need. The system only wants the best for you.»

Hey! Those are the words from a helicopter parent before they force their child to do something.

«Rest assured, master. The system works in your favor. Always.»

That is even more suspicious! Calling me master all of the sudden.

Anyway, I pressed yes because I have nothing to lose anyhow, and fell asleep. Little did I know I'll be sleeping for three days.

And when I woke up, my skills changed.
