Chapter 34: Suri Drew: The Girl Who Doesn't Know Her Fate (Continued)
As Suri Drew heard this, she was shocked. She wanted to say something but couldn't, overwhelmed by the realization of my identity.
I spoke calmly, "Don't worry, Miss Drew. I understand my status is different from yours, which is why you're hesitating. But don't worry, feel free to ask me anything you want to know."
Suri Drew sighed and, after a moment, spoke hesitantly, "Well, Young Master Ye King, what are you doing here at this hour? Isn't your life in danger if someone else finds out about this?"
I chuckled softly. Just then, the four girls stepped out of the car. One of them spoke to me, "Dear, the car is fixed. We're running late for the fight tomorrow evening."
I turned to Quin and said, "Don't worry, Miss Drew said it's almost done."
As Suri Drew saw the four beautiful girls walking towards the car, jealousy filled her eyes. She muttered, "Ah... um, yes, it's almost done."
After about ten minutes, the car was fixed.
I turned to Suri Drew. "Miss Drew, it's already late. Please come with us as a thank-you for fixing the car."
Suri Drew hesitated. "It's okay, I'm fine. I'll leave after a while."
I insisted, "Please, Miss Drew, I insist. Let's discuss the business partnership in the car while I drop you off at your house."
She understood she couldn't refuse—this was a big deal for her business. With a resigned sigh, she replied, "Okay, Young Master Ye King, I will go, but only because you insist."
Suri Drew entered the car and sat in the backseat.
I began speaking again, "Miss Drew, I've heard about your company, and I know you started it while you were still in college. That's very impressive, and you've succeeded, but I also know that your best friend and ex-boyfriend betrayed you. Since then, things have declined for you."
Suri Drew flinched at my words. "How do you know all this about me?" she asked, fear creeping into her voice.
I looked at her calmly and replied, "Well, as you know, I'm from the Ye King family. It's necessary to know everything to make new business partnerships in different sectors. The reason I'm telling you this is that you are trustworthy, and I believe in your loyalty and ability to do your job. That's why I'm interested in you."
Suri Drew blushed slightly. "I-I understand, Young Master Ye King. I'll do my best to meet your expectations."
After a while, I dropped her off at her apartment before heading back to my mansion.
As Olivia spoke up, "I see why you said some heroines are innocent and kind. She's like a child when it comes to handling her business."
I nodded in agreement. "I understand what you're saying, but you have to know, her protagonist is a total loser. He does nothing but follow his system's orders, showing off the things he gets from it. He's nothing like her."
They all nodded, and I added, "Well, I have a surprise planned for him tonight—something he definitely won't expect."
