I've Become The Main Character

Thanks for viewing my novel feel free to read it... or not. ____________________________________________ What happens when the main character knows that there inside the novel? What do you do when you find there are third-rate villains around every corner knowing that this is just a novel? Oscar Blake is a typical 17-year-old, and he soon awakens but instead of normally awakening he instead gets a new 'intruder' in his mind who knows that this world is a novel and helps him become stronger, while preparing for the incoming doom that he himself doesn't know about. ____________________________________________

Explanation

Entering the Mind Domain I sat (more like dropped) down on the couch and stared at Oscar nonchalantly, although my eyes weren't, they were filled with anger. He stared at me with sad eyes, but I just kept smiling as if nothing happened.

"So..." there was a long pause, so I signaled him to continue, "What are your thoughts about the incident or did you choose to ignore it completely," He asked, although the last sentence did have some malice.

"It... Happened, but thinking about it now, it had to happen sometime, as 'they' wanted to both see you hurt and see you grow," Yup, I planned to turn this incident into hatred for gods who not only caused this incident but who will also cause a lot more.

"Who's 'they'?" Oscar asked with hatred for those who caused this.

"Did you know that I treated this world and my death as nothing, but a dream come true? I always wanted to be the main character, but... after I met with a god, I slowly realized that I had lost something I had taken for granted, my free will but that made me-" Oscar interrupted me, but I didn't intend to let that stop my monologue. (I don't remember which chapter but there was a hint that Blaze chatted with a god (it was cut off at the end, some chat happened but was hidden))

"Answer the question. Who's 'they'?" he said with anger, and what's more, he hit the table and looked like he hadn't really made peace with the incident. Well that's to be expected he was a nice guy, and he cared for many and doesn't like injustice, but I'm not him, I'm selfish and only care for myself and my close ones, or at least that's what I told myself.

"Sigh... I hate being controlled, actually, I hate it so much that I would risk my own existence for freedom." This should have hinted to him that I was planning something. I was planning to go behind his back and try to invite the tower. "Anyway, I'll answer your question. The gods who want entertainment did it or at least that's what I call them," Now I didn't really have a lot of proof, I did have a meeting with a god, but you could call that a fluke, I f-

"Why? No. How? How do you know all this?" he asked suspicious of me.

"I don't really have a lot of proof, but I do have one which is myself... Why do you think I exist? Do you think I did the impossible and my soul managed to cross through dimensions and enter you? Of course not, that would be stupid! No. It's because somebody behind the scenes caused me to appear here, else I would just think that I was in a story with a massive logical plot hole. Now although I have a second chance I still want to be free, I don't want to be stuck here helping you all my life, that's why our souls are probably not fully connected. Anyway, from what stories I've read and the logical and radical thinking I've made, I can almost confidently say that gods have taken over this world, and are toying with it for their own entertainment or power, although I'd like to think it's because of entertainment." As I told my thoughts Oscar went through a lot of emotions, the final one being confusion. (Although chapter 3 says that an interference happened and someone (god or something) came to help him, Oscar doesn't know that, because he's just a person who got knocked out before the message could finish, so naturally he forgot,)

Of course, my conclusion did have some plot holes, but even I didn't know why they made some decisions, were they that arrogant?

"Why? Why would they do that-" Before he could finish I cut him off.

"Immortality. Being immortal gets old, and life becomes meaningless and boring. Well, hehe I can't blame them, I would probably do the same," Oscar understood now but he was also confused as to why I could be allowed to make such a conclusion, weren't gods omnipotent?

"Why would gods choose to do something as boring as to read the main character's minds and find out their plan, wouldn't it be more fun to just watch what decisions he'd make instead of constantly predicting, plus they also wouldn't like spoilers from other gods, so they probably forbid them from reading minds or calculating," Oscar finally understood, and quieted down.

Silence prevailed for a minute.

"Call me when you're done organizing your thoughts. We still need to plan our next steps." I left him alone and went to explore the mind space.

I didn't do anything, actually, I sat on the peak of the main mountain looking up at the stars (still in the Mind Domain), they were of course beautiful. My mind kept returning to why gods hadn't changed me much when they probably knew my personality, they probably knew that I would try to change fate and escape this right, or were they so desperate for entertainment? I thought about it hard, but just couldn't understand why.

It was a bit shameful that it took me so long to figure out their plan though, but it was probably because of excitement as I always wanted to be the main character or more to be a fantasy character, but only after killing did I realize that this was real.

"Sigh... If it only was so simple..." Wow. That sentence hit me hard, I remember that not that long ago I was still, worrying about simple things like getting a girlfriend, but now it got so complicated...

I should probably go back and re-read a couple of novels, maybe I could find some hints about the Tower concept and maybe about in general a way to rewrite fate, although novels aren't a sure-fire way to do things it's at least better than nothing, and they already proved themselves with mana why, not the Tower or fate itself, maybe I should also read some myth's I have a feeling that they should help as neutral knowledge. It would be simple if I could just run away to another universe to start a new life, but I don't have a body I could borrow, nor did I think Oscar would be too fond of leaving this place behind.

Sigh if only it wasn't for my personality, then I wouldn't have to try so hard to get back at those gods for forcing me to kill, I'd probably accept reality as is, but this is me, and I'm not planning to drop my ideals...

Anyway, it seemed that Oscar finished organizing his thoughts, I should go back.

"What a long day I have ahead."

Hey hey...

I'm back from quitting a second time...

I'm re-focusing on my original plan of the plot, instead of the previous one... anyway, this time I'm using AI which I hope helps with any plot holes, also I hope that this time I don't quit.

As always my schedule won't be consistent and I'll post whenever I feel like it.

Have a jolly Christmas.

Future readers be like: Well that was a fucking lie wasn't it?
