GOING ON THE WAY TO THE HERBIVORE ISLAND P1

Fer looked at the map that had appeared from seemingly nowhere on his arm and focused on the coordinates of his exact current location.

The map, though cloudy, had large and small vertical and horizontal lines with numbers marked along the sides of the lines. On the top side, there was a word indicating , meaning it referred to the up-and-down of the vertical area. Similarly, at the bottom on the horizontal part, there was a word that said , which covered the whole lower part from right to left.

Fer had been used to calculating coordinates for a long time, so it only took him a few seconds to figure it out.

"Hmm, I'm at 87-46, that's pretty good. If I'm not mistaken, I'm in one of the easy mode spawns, and I'm also relatively close to Herbivore Island. Since I've played enough and spawned in this area of the island many times, I know how to get to Herbivore Island without having to cross too much ground," Fer thought as he looked at the map, a bit pleased with the good fortune of having a relatively easy and clear path to reach Herbivore Island.

But before embarking on his journey to Herbivore Island, he would first have to make preparations to get there as safely as possible, having already learned a few things, like how to craft a full cloth armor set and weapons like the stone axe and the spear.

Since he had previously gathered fiber from the plants while searching for food, he now had more than enough fiber to make the full fiber armor without much trouble. In total, 130 fiber and 10 hide were needed to make the entire cloth armor.

Without a second thought, Fer made the armor, and after waiting a few seconds for it to be fully crafted, he put on the cloth armor piece by piece. The moment Fer placed the item in the equipment slot, he felt his semi-naked body being covered by the familiar sensation of something soft touching his skin.

Looking at his reflection in the sea, Fer frowned at his face—or rather, at the hood on his head. Honestly speaking, this cloth hood was quite ugly in Fer's opinion, but since it provided armor points, he didn't take it off.

After checking his reflection, Fer didn't stop crafting things in his inventory. He made the stone axe he was missing to complement the stone pick, and when he finished, he crafted 4 spears, which cost him 32 wood, 8 flint, and 48 fiber respectively.

Fer equipped the axe and the spear in the 0-9 bar. The good thing about the spears was that they could be stacked up to 10, so they only took up one slot.

He wanted to try the feel of holding a spear in his hand. With a thought, a long, rustic wooden spear with a sharpened stone tip bound by cords appeared. It had a simple and primitive design, made for hunting and self-defense in a wild environment.

Fer swung the spear in his hand a few times to get used to the feeling of holding it. Surprisingly, the spear wasn't heavy in the least, which allowed him to swing it freely in all directions. And since this wasn't a game, he could make any movement without any issue.

Three minutes later, Fer finished using the spear, which disappeared into thin air. When Fer was watching the spears being crafted, he noticed out of the corner of his eye that his experience bar was almost full, sitting at 259.8/270, ready to level up again to level 8.

Since he only needed 11 more experience points to level up, Fer planned to craft 4 more spears to fill up the experience bar completely. But when he planned to do this, he encountered a problem—he didn't have enough wood to make 4 more spears. With all the wood he had spent on the wooden spikes, plus the stone axe and the 4 spears he had already crafted, it was surprising how long the wood in his inventory had lasted.

The good thing was that he now had the stone axe to gather wood more easily. Without much trouble, Fer cut down a few palm-like trees in just a few minutes of swinging the stone axe.

After chopping down the trees, Fer crafted 4 more spears, and as a result, the experience bar filled up again, and the number 1 appeared to be added to a specific stat.

Fer didn't think too much about what to add and simply put the point into melee damage, which increased from the original 100% to 150% after adding a point. Since he had the spear as a melee weapon, he simply chose to increase his damage further.

But Fer knew that melee damage had more uses than just dealing more damage when attacking with fists or melee weapons. When gathering resources, like mining stone or chopping trees, one could obtain more resources, as the increased damage allowed stones and trees to break faster, making material gathering more efficient. Not to mention, it also increased the chance of collecting rare minerals. The only downside was that it didn't affect ranged weapons like the bow.

When he added the point to his strength, Fer instantly felt the familiar surge of energy flowing through his body, greatly boosting his overall strength. His right and left arms, in particular, grew significantly stronger.

For a moment, Fer felt like he could kill a dinosaur with a single blow from his arm. However, after calming his mind from the excitement of his increased strength, Fer reminded himself that his current strength was not enough to kill a dinosaur.

He knew in his heart that his current strength was still a bit far from being able to kill a dinosaur with a single blow. But instead of feeling discouraged, he was quite excited at the thought of crushing dinosaurs with his own hands.

After calculating how much percentage he would need to reach that level of strength, he concluded that he would need around 600% melee for medium-sized dinos and 1000-1200% melee for low-level large dinos. In conclusion, if he wanted to reach the point of killing any dinosaur with his bare hands (without a weapon), he would need at least 3000-6000% melee.

After making that calculation, Fer took a deep breath and let go of that distant dream. While it wasn't impossible for him, in his current situation, simply thinking about it was a waste of valuable time. He needed to get to Herbivore Island as soon as possible to settle in this dangerous island.
