Festival of Elves (1)

Klaus nodded and a bluish thunder spark started flashing in his palm which he placed over his own head

A huge wave of thunder passed through his head and next second Klaus once again opened his eyes feeling all light and energetic once again

"Yosh! Let's join the celebration!!!"

As Klaus said that he immediately started to move out leaving Elena and the fairies confused and shocked at the place

"Did some cultists manage to hit his head?"

"Self harming maniac? Is this to satisfy his ego?"

"He finally went crazy after all!!!"

The fairies commented and quietly followed Klaus, they walked by various corpses and by now even the Elven guards have become visible there inspecting the corpses with frown

Klaus was greeted by all the Elves on his way out with clear light of respect in those gazes, Klaus also returned the respectful gestures in similar manner

And just a few minutes of walking through a corridor leading towards light, Klaus, Elena and the fairies were seen walking out of a plain white wall inside a room concealed by illusion

"Greetings Duke!"

As soon as Klaus came out he was greeted by Sylphy, the second Elven Princess and the precious Ancient Elf of the Elven race

Klaus took a glance upwards and nodded forming a smile over his face

"Greetings princess, so how is the condition of your brother?"

"The healers said that he will be completely recovered by noon, but I'm here to inform you about the celebration that will be held in the night

The World Tree's Spirit herself had come out to grace us with her presence, it's a very epic and happy occasion for all of us elves so we are planning to celebrate the occasion

There is going to be a festival tonight to celebrate the occasion and all elves will be invited, Duke has been requested to grace us with your presence as guest of honour tonight

King, acknowledges you as the greatest contributor for today's occasion and also shows his grief for not being present here himself but please join us on today's occasion along with your people!"

Sylphy was acting like a princess worthy of her title and not bringing her own personal feelings towards Klaus

As the relationship between Klaus and Sylphy was already not the best, Sylphy was still showing such courtesy and sincerity was truly an act befitting her position and title

Klaus also nodded in acknowledgment and with a smile he replied

"It would be a pleasure to join the festival of Elves, it's not everyday a human gets to join the fun with the race of nature haha!"

"I will report your words to the King but before that would you mind answering a question of mine?"

Sylphy stared at Klaus with burning gaze visibly making it clear that there are no other options in terms of words, Klaus sniggered seeing such childish gaze and nodded

"If it's within the terms of light then please"

"What did you see inside the World Tree, even the fairies acknowledged something rotting or dying previously? Just what happened with World Tree

We call ourselves the race which serves the World Tree but currently we are just living under its grace like ungrateful kids, we still don't know what the World Tree has suffered through till now"

Sylphy's words were filled with frustration and deep sadness, the other elves also seemed to have dark expressions as they heard her words

Klaus observed her posture and that light in her eyes and just nodded

"Your question is indeed a reasonable one, I don't have any problem answering this one but first of all I will give you suggestions towards the Elven race

Don't think in the wildest dreams that you are capable enough to serve the World Tree and help her, even if you all were ten times stronger and your population was also a dozen times more

You won't be able to help the World Tree like you expect you can if you try your best and second thing is that, the World Tree thinks of you as her child not the subordinates

Don't hurt her feelings by trying to repay her kindness, you can't even repay the generosity as small as a grain of rice even if you all worked your whole lives

She gave you ocean like love without any desire to get anything in return, she is your origin and your mother so treat her like one, by calling her your God and legend don't try to push her higher and separate from you

It truly hurts when you try your best, love and protect others expecting love only to get loneliness because of your own greatness..."

Klaus's words silenced the whole place, the fairies behind him seem to understand him and Elena could even relate to this

The Elves on other hand seemed somewhat shocked because of this unknown new concept but Klaus didn't wait for them to slowly understand things and continued

"You can't understand it right now but you will in future so don't try too hard and to your main question

The answer is 'Curse from Devil Lord', the World Tree seems to be suffering through curse from a decade by now

The curse was placed on her soul in order to weaken the gates of other worlds and dimensions but she sealed herself and the curse along with her

Suffering pain worse than hell with will power strong enough to accept death slowly and painfully only to save us all from any harm

She was trying to die alone so we all can live another day in peace, the World Tree is a great being that deserves even every bit of respect she gets!

There are not many who get my respect and she is one of few I consider truly worthy for her greatness"

Klaus made his statement and silently left the place leaving all Elves present there shocked and almost petrified over their places
