Scarlett was standing in-front of the house listening to Elle talk.
Today was different than most days. It's been a little more that half a year since she advanced to the last level of the reconstruction stage and after solidifying her cultivation and suppressing her break through, Elle finally thought it was time for her to breakthrough to the next stage.
The Core condensing stage, which has ten levels.
To breakthrough, your dantian needs to be full of spiritual energy. Then in side the dantian, you would compress the energy into a core. The core would usually be the size of a grape. While advancing levels your core will enlarge and the size all depended on your talent. Making your core too large would make it fragile and easier for cracks to appear.
She had also found out from Elle that when breaking through you'll be able to sense your elemental affinity.
That was the part she was most excited for.
Scarlett was heading to the spirit beast continent, Astro. Since she was going to build her foundation for her core when breaking through, Elle wanted her to absorb the best quality spiritual energy.
Honestly she just wanted to do it at home but apparently she couldn't.
*eye roll*
To top it all off, Elle was only going to teleport her there and give her coordinates to the place where she could find the best spiritual energy.
Even though she looked upset when Elle told her that, deep down she new that Elle needed to rest and couldn't over exert herself.
"I will be sending you to the outskirts of Astro , so the beasts there shouldn't be dangerous and most likely won't attack you. Try not to engage in a fight with anyone and head to the location designated by the coordinates." Elle said in a worried tone. She did really want to go with her but she physically couldn't.
Reaching out her hand she grabbed Scarlett's wrist and put a silver bracelet with a violet gem stone in the middle that matched her eyes.
"This spacial bracelet was your mothers. She put her all of her pills that she ever made into it, along with all her alchemy books and tools."
Though Scarlett felt it was weird why she gave it to her at this moment she grabbed it.
"To access it, just like your daggers, drip a drop of blood into it."
Nodding Scarlett bit her finger and dropped the blood on the gemstone. She was just about to look in it with her spiritual conscious but Elle stopped her.
"You can look threw it later. For now, take this ring. Like your bracket it has a space but much small. I stored a bunch of food in there for you and your favorite snacks and some books. Don't need to worry about clothes because those are all in there too."
Not think much about it Scarlett took it and dropped blood into it. The ring was also silver with a descriptive dragon design.
"There are around 200 spacial stones in there. All you need to do to use them, is write the coordinates of the place you want to go to and crush it. Think of it as a late sixth birthday present."
Now Scarlett paused and wiped the lazy look off her face.
'Why was she giving me so much stuff?
She a sarcastic laugh she asked, "Your not kicking me out right?", she had another question to ask but she she look up at Elle she just couldn't bring her self too.
Rubbing the little girls head of silver hair, she said, "Scar I couldn't kick you out even if I wanted too. This is technically you house after all."
She was right. This house was left to Scarlett by her mother, a long with a bunch of other properties that she would find the deeds to in the spacial bracelet.
"You remember the coordinates of the the house right? Once you've broken through use one of the Spacial stones to teleport back," Elle reminded the child.
Walking to the teleportation circle in front of the house Scarlett responded in a lazy voice, "Yeah, yeah I remember."
How could she not remember? She made her memorize those coordinates for hours.
Now standing inside the circle, She urged, "Come on Elle the quicker I get there, the quicker I'll be able to come home to be bed."
Elle shook her head,
'this girl, I'm really going to miss her, haa'
Looking down at the little girl in front of her Elle started to gather her spiritual energy to teleport her, not forgetting to add one more reminder, "Right, Scar, you will be able to sense your elemental affinity one your break through. Your mother had water affinity which was commonly seen but," she paused for a moment with had Scarlett creasing her brows in annoyance, "Though I never new your father, your mother once told me that her had a rare elemental affinity. Darkness. I'm not sure if that affinity might manifest in you, but if it does, I warn you Scarlett, don't use your affinity if you can't control it."
Now she was confused again, why does Elle always talk so cryptic?
Anyway she might not even have that affinity so why worry so much?
Just as she was about to question her, Elle added, "The darkness affinity is very destructive and could be dangerous if misused."
Scarlett didn't want to hear anymore because it was taking up too much time. Cutting her off she said, "Alright Elle I probably won't even have that affinity. Your the one who said it was rare right?"
Elle looked at her for a moment and thought she was right before dropping the subject.
Motioning Scarlett to stand still, her spacial element and circled her before wrapping around the little girl.
Not long after, she felt her body being pulled by some force she hears Elle's voice echoing around her.
"Goodbye Scarlett Erylwith"
