Restraint

Night.

A couple fight in their trailer because they're broke. The power goes out. They make up quickly and the dude (Sean) goes to check the generator. The girl looks outside to see Sean talking to someone in a dark hoodie. The hooded person points up and all of a sudden Sean is grabbed around the neck by the Kanima's tail.

The hooded person points to the girl in the trailer. She ducks out of sight and the hooded person disappears. Sean's dead body is thrown through the window of the trailer and dragged out again to make room for the Kanima. The Kanima gets all up in the girl's personal space and we see that she's pregnant. Very pregnant. The Kanima backs off as it sees that she's pregnant and the girl collapses, screaming.

The incident with Jackson resulted in a restraining order against Scott and Stiles. Sheriff reads out the terms of the order (basically that they won't go within 50 feet of Jackson or try and communicate with him) at the sheriff's station while Mama McCall and Mr Whittemore are present.

"What about school?" Stiles asks

"You can attend classes while attempting to maintain a 50-foot distance." Stilinski's tells him.

"But—okay, what if we both have to use the bathroom at the same and there's only two stalls available and they're only right next to each other?" Stiles asks jokingly

Every adult in the room looks like they want to hit Stiles. Outside, Sheriff berates Stiles for the joke and the stolen prison transport van. According to Stiles, they filled the van's tank so that means everything's cool.

Melissa is furious with Scott for the restraining order, missing tests at school, coming home late, and being completely bizarre.

"I have to ground you. I am grounding you. You are grounded." Melissa says

"What about work?" Scott asks

"Fine. Other than work. And no TV." Melissa says

"My TV's broken," Scott tells her

"Then no computer."

"I need the computer for school." Scott reminds her.

"Then no … no Stiles," Melissa says running out of options.

"what I -" Stiles tries to protest but is cut off.

"NO STILES" Melissa shouts shutting him up.

Melissa also takes away Scott's car privileges and demands his keys. She wants to know what is going on and Scott looks close to telling her about being a werewolf. Stiles shakes his head vigorously in the background making Scott blame it on Daddy issues when Melissa asks if this is about his father.

Melissa goes to get the car. Stiles and Scott watch as Mr Whittemore yells at Sheriff about Stiles's bathroom comment. Down the hall, Jackson can hear everything and is smirking like a lil' bitch.

"You know the full moons coming Derek," Isaac says as they walk up to a trunk.

"I'm aware of that" Derek tells him as he opens up the trunk and pulls out a bunch of heavy-duty chains to restrain them.

"My these look comfortable," Erica says as she picks up one of the chains.

"You said you were gonna teach us to change whenever we wanted" Isaac reminds him.

"There hasn't been time," Derek says.

"But if you have to lock us up during the full moon that means- that means you're alone against the Argents since Astrid will be busy with Allison," Isaac says.

"They haven't found us," Derek says as he walks away from them.

"yet, so how about we forget the kanima," Isaac says.

"We can't" Derek shouts frustrated, "There was something about the way Gerard looked at it. He wasn't afraid at all and I don't know what he knows or what he's planning but I'm sure about one thing we have to get to Jackson first and find whoever is controlling him"

Allison and Astrid walk into the library since Allison decided to at least give Scott and Stiles the updated translated bestiary to keep them informed.

"That's all Astrid could translate," Allison says as she handed the tablet to Scott and Stiles who were sat at a table as Astrid stood in a way that hid the tablet from the camera that trained on them.

The translation doesn't say how to find out who's controlling the Kanima but Stiles was right about its motive; the Kanima is known as a 'weapon of vengeance' and has been used in the past to execute murderers. But eventually, when the bond between Kanima and master grows strong enough, the Kanima can go after anyone the master wants it to.

The Kanima is supposed to be a werewolf but it can't properly become one until it works out its issues.

"ok if that means Jackson could use a few thousand hours of therapy I could have told you that myself," Stiles says.

"well, I could tell you one thing that whatever Jackson's issues are it has something to do with his real parents," Astrid tells them while she puts her arm around Allison's shoulder.

"yeah, does anyone know what happened to them?" Scott asks.

"Lydia might," Stiles says.

"but what if she doesn't know anything," Scott asks.

"well that's your problem," Astrid says as she and Allison walk away.

"Wait you're not gonna help us," Stiles asks after them.

"We already helped you enough it's time for you to use your detective skills, Stiles," Astrid tells him as they exit the library.

"I don't like her she reminds me of your boss being all secretive and mysterious. she knows more than she lets on" Stiles says

"well, we can't exactly force her to tell us since we're not a part of her pack and she's practically the strongest being in town," Scott tells him.

"Yeah, well I hate that too," Stiles says annoyed.

Jackson walks into an empty classroom and inspects some animals in tanks. He picks up a snake and it crawls straight into his mouth and he swallows it.

A teacher shows up and asks Jackson if he still wants to discuss his paper just as the last bit of the snake is disappearing inside his mouth. Jackson turns to the teacher robotically since he's not in control of himself.

Stiles is asking Lydia questions and she refuses to give Stiles information about Jackson's parents. Erica overhears them and she pushes Stiles against a wall and asks him why he wants to know about Jackson's parents. She gets her wolf claws out until Stiles points out the security camera behind her.

"That's right. If you want to play Catwoman, I'll be your Batman." Stiles says

Erica tells Stiles that Jackson's parents are half a mile away in the cemetery.

"wait wait do you know how they died," Stiles asks as he chases after her.

"Maybe if you tell me why you're so interested," Erica asks, " it has something to do with Jackson being the kanima doesn't it?" she says before continuing to walk with Stiles right behind her.

"You can't tell Derek about this alright there's a lot more to it that you don't know and just because you got the Alpha bite makeover doesn't give you license destroying people," Stiles tells her.

"Why not that's all anybody used to do to me. I used to have the worst crush in the world on you yeah, you stiles and you never once noticed me but I'm gonna help you since Derek says we need all the help we can get so meet me at the library," Erica tells him before walking away.

Stiles runs back to look for Scott and he finds him leaving the chemistry room as he just finished his test.

"Hey Erica knows something about Jackson's parents and she agreed to help," Stiles tells him.

"Great what did she say," Scott asked.

"Only to meet her at the library later," Stiles says.

"Then what are we waiting for," Scott says as they begin to walk towards the library.

Jackson who was walking in the hallway starts getting a weird headache and walks into the bathroom when all of a sudden the snake crawls out of his left eye and slithers into the sink while his eye heals instantly.

when he gets out of the bathroom he heads to the library as he has that blank look on his face.

In the library, Stiles and Scott are sitting next to Erica reading a report on her laptop. Apparently, Jackson's parents arrived at the hospital DOA on June 14th. Jackson's birthday is June 15th, which means that he was delivered by C-section after his mother was dead.

Lydia looks for the flower that Dude gave her and can't find it. She even goes looking for another flower in her backyard and can't find one of the right colour. She sees that her back gate is open and decides to go meet Dude barefoot because he lives right behind her house but she ends up wandering barefoot through the woods until she reaches a house. she enters it but it looks abandoned since the entranceway is covered in leaves.

Mr Harris gets into his car and looks in the rearview mirror weirdly. Then he backs out of his parking spot and we get a nice shot of the bumper sticker on his car. It's that Einstein quote that says, 'Imagination is more important than knowledge.' That's the bumper sticker on the car that the Kanima walked up to.

Back in the library, Scott, Stiles and Erica are discussing if Jackson's parent's death was an accident or if they were murdered.

"well if they were murdered then it falls in line with the kanima myth you know it seeks out and kills murders," Stiles says.

"but for Jackson or the person controlling him," Scott asks, "we need to tell Jackson," Scott says as he walks towards the table he saw Jackson was sitting in only to find him missing. Jackson, half in and out of Kanima mode, leaps across the tops of bookshelves and destroys the ceiling. Scott and Erica woof out while Stiles crouches near a bookshelf as books and bits of ceiling start raining down on them.

Erica is picked off pretty quickly with a cut to the neck. The Kanima/Jackson combo shoves Scott away and then writes on the chalkboard in a trance Stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you. Then Jackson jumps out of a window.

Stiles finds that Erica's having a seizure as the Kanima venom suppressed her wolfy epilepsy immunity once it hit her bloodstream.

"We need to get her to a hospital," Stiles says to Scott.

"N-no h-h-hospital D-Derek o-only to D-Derek" Erika tells them before Scott carries her out.

Lydia is still wandering around the empty house apart from an old dresser thing and there are leaves on all floors, not just the entry. The guy finally shows up and says this used to be his house.

Lydia confesses that she doesn't have the flower and he claims a kiss as compensation. The make-out session pauses and Lydia sees their reflection in the dresser mirror. She's not making out with a young and attractive guy but with Peter Hale's crispy corpse. And the house is the Hale house as It returns to its burned-out glory and Lydia screams as she backs away from Peter.

Scott and Stiles take Erica to the subway. Derek's not sure if Erica will die so he breaks her arm to trigger the healing process. Then he cuts into her arm with his claws to get the venom out of her system. Erica starts passing out from the pain but tells Stiles that he makes a good Batman. Scott and Derek walk out of the subway car.

"I'm going to help you stop him as part of your pack. If you want me in, fine. But we do it on one condition. We're going to catch him. Not kill him." Scott says.

"And?" Derek asks.

"We do it my way," Scott says.

"well Scott those are actually two conditions but we'll give you a chance to play hero," Astrid says as she walks up to them making Scott nod his head.

At the Beacon Hills Hospital, the girl from the beginning has given birth to her baby. Melissa is taking care of the girl, who is telling her that what killed Sean wasn't human. Melissa leaves the room and turns out the light. The girl starts drifting off but now the hooded person is back and he's after her. He's not wasting time with a Kanima; he just smothers her to death.

Peter sits down next to Lydia and has a chat with her.

"At least you know that you're not actually crazy. Well, not completely. There's bound to be some residual effects but you're a strong girl. Personally, I think that you're going to pull through with a minimal amount of post-traumatic stress and maybe a few years of profoundly disturbing nightmares." Peter says.

Then he talks about his plan since her immunity made her the perfect backup plan for Peter. She wouldn't turn from the bite and she wouldn't die but she would be able to do something very important.

Lydia opens her hands and finds that she has the flower again. It's actually a small wolfsbane flower. We pan down under the floorboards to where Derek buried Peter's body.
