Project Valkyrie

This past few days he had been having the same dream over and over again, Nosaka thought he probably nervous about his plan and the heavy burden that he will carry moving onwards.

Nosaka just grip his hands and grits his teeth thinking about the possibility of his plan failed.

Those nightmare still haunted him, he then shaked his head to throw away those thoughts and head to the shower.

*Tinggg* *Tinggg*

"Announcement! All subjects must be inside briefing room in five minutes. I repeat, all subjects must be in the briefing room in five minutes."

Nosaka stood up, clean his room and walk straight into briefing room. He one of the few people whom are early including his childhood sweetheart Hiyori.

He just smiled at her while she looking at him with a deep gaze as if she were asking him his confirmation for the coup d'etat that they were planning for the past 5 years.

Nosaka just titled his head as a signal that the rebellion will continue as they planned.

The briefing will start in a few minutes I hope it will be today where the brainwashing program started.

"Are you crazy!? If we failed all of us gonna died!" Said Hiyori with a stern voice but low pitch.

"I know Hiyori but we need to get out of here, didn't you see what happened to the others after going into that room?"

They all became like machines, they only accept order from those soldiers and look into their eyes, it like void with no emotions left."

Nosaka continue his argument as he trying to make sure Hiyori understood his planned further, after few times of persuasion, Hiyori finally gave up to convinced Nosaka otherwise so she draw a few full tactical plans for Nosaka.

"How was the mecha designed and build going on, Professor Jay?"

Xavier voice turned stern as Prof. Jay just act like everything is perfect and act the possibility of failure is non existent.

"You knew how important this is for us, with those Valkyrie and its pilots, we will earn a lot of money not to mentioned with the other twenty units of Mist as it grunts unit to support Valkyrie Mobile Gear."

This bulky man is the leader of this abandoned colony, he is veteran mobile gear pilot also the very man that created Project Valkyrie and many others projects based on mobile gear and creating super soldier for it purposes.

"Don't worry Captain Xavier, all progress on Valkyrie mobile gear and it predecessor the Mist serie in going extremely well."

Professor Jay answered Xavier question and the underlying threat with outmost confident.

"Ohh, I have seen the Mist combat capabilities before, it quite a charms, that I took ten units of that mobile gear and custom it for my team."

Xavier quite excited of the possibility having a different teams available on different tasks, if he can get them under control, they will generate income easily for him based on mercenaries quest.

"How big the difference between Mist combat capabilities compared to Valkyrie?"

Xavier had piloted the Mist serie, it combat capabilities is next level compared to the other mobile gear, it piloting system, radar and sensors work like a charm and the most important part, it can be push to the extreme when needed thus saving his live so many times.

"Valkyrie combat capabilities had twice the amount of everything compared to normal Mist mobile gear. It a mecha designed for war and many others situations. Let me show you the final product." Professor Jay open the hidden door and invited Captain Xavier to follow him.

Xavier without any questions follow his most important asset, a genius mecha designer and its respected field.

He saved Prof. Jay by accident while trying to save his client target, 20 years ago.

Thanks to this guy, he been making money selling orphans that were trained and experimented into pilots or mecha that were scavenged throughout the empire and its neighboring countries.

The lift open its door as it reach the destinated floor disturbed Xavier thought.

"Ohhh, this is the Project Valkyrie mobile gear, huh?. Judging from its look it probably designed to the pilots style of combat."

Xavier were excited as soon as he see the the Valkyrie mobile gear.

"Haha, indeed it follow exactly the pilots style. This is Valkyrie Unit 1, codename Brynhildr."

"It specialized in close combat and had mid range dual revolver for support, it also equip with an AI that filter it emotions and provide battlefield information directly to the brain. All of the Valkyrie model were equip with this feature."

Xavier quite surprised to see that the first Valkyrie Unit is actually a close combat Mecha.

"A specialized unit with AI capabilities to filter any unnecessary information and make the pilots focus completely on combat and it surrounding."

"This system can change the war and completely change the battlefield. What is the name of this new AI system?"

Captain Xavier ambition to became one of the best mercenaries leader in the empire started to ignite once more.

"We named it Autonomous Combat Capabilities Neutral System, AGNES. It had everything, it can update it own simulation based on the mecha combat data and it pilots response."

"In addition of all that featurs, it also design to fixed its pilots weaknesses by giving more time in simulation so they can adapt to it faster but how much can the pilots take depends on his brain capacity and memories."

Xavier quite dissatisfied with the mecha system that Prof. Jay introduce to him just now, but for now he decided to ask for more information.

"So it like a double edge sword, if the pilots not good enough, the data will killed the pilots."

Said Xavier while admiring the new version of mobile gear.

"No, it will not restrain it pilots brain, it there only as support and enchant the pilots response, if the data were too much, AGNES will provide the pilots with others options and less data input."

Professor Jay gave his stand on the matter, if he build a system that killed its pilots that all his hardwork is nothing more than a waste of time.

"That it for today, starting tomorrow you guys had one week happy time as no training will be conducted until the program complete! All of you were dismissed."

Shout the leader of trainee to everyone in the briefing room.

As all the subjects were dismissed from the briefing, they all now moving straight to the kitchen. This week all their training were paused until the brainwash program complete.

"Yoo Nosaka and hello Hiyori!"

Shouted one of the subject as he approached Nosaka's table. Shawn Ernesto rank 4th on overall in Project Valkyrie pilots ranking.

"How is it Shawn? Is everything ready?"

Nosaka asked Shawn that now sitting on the opposite side of him.

Nosaka rarely show his emotions as he is the ACE of this facilities when it came to Mecha piloting.

"Hehehe, no need to worry, Captain. Every preparation has completed, we only need your word."

Shawn speak as if they're playing some games in this reality.

"Wait until others gave me their confirmation as for Prof. Jay, don't worry about him, he agreed to help us escape as long as we kidnapped him as hostage."

Nosaka had to make sure everything on their place, most importantly the timing must be right otherwise they'll all died before they can even leave this abandoned colony.

"Hmmph, I know that old man always wanted to escape, who wouldn't want wealth and freedom."

Shawn make sure his distain feeling is clear.

"Why you always like this, this is our only chance, stop playing around and make sure it done."

Hiyori decided to interject both of them and make sure her opinion is loud and clear.

Both Nosaka and Shawn look at one another feeling goosebumps all over their body, if they were to be given a choice between Hiyori and torture.

They will choose torture than a woman that had strong sense of mother figure. As they shaked their head, they continue eating as if nothing ever happened.
