'Enough with distracting thoughts, still have to know how she is finding me. Earlier, I got something from observing my trails before being interrupted.' Silver stopped running and hide. He then observed the trails he just left behind.

Still nothing ordinary eyes can see, there are no footprints since the soil is dry and he has avoided branches that would break. Still something has been bothering him, but he doesn't know what he was looking at.

10 minutes has passed and Silver was attacked by Lara four more times. Silver tried to change his dodging routine and that did wonders. Lara is now unable to guess where he will jump next to evade.

Above the tree, Silver has been hiding here for a minute. He has been looking down his trails for the passed minute without care of any attack coming.

'What is this kid doing? He has been staring on his trails for the past 10 minutes. Has he discovered that I've been following him with the steps he left behind?' Lara thought to herself while hiding 5 trees away just behind the bush.

Silver at the moment is looking at the trails he just passed. However this time there is a big difference, he could clearly see footprint marks all over the ground. 1 of them is clearly his when he got here, 1 of them must have been his as well earlier this afternoon. There are hoofprints, rabbit footprints and another larger human footprint, he guessed to be Lara's.

He deactivated his scarlet eyes and those trails vanished. He reactivated his scarlet eyes yet nothing changed other than improve in depth and perception. Then, he focused further with his eyes as if there is another muscle he just learned to control and voila, the footprints and hoofprints started appearing again.

If Silver was looking at a mirror right now, he would have been shocked to see his tomoe-like scarlet eyes under the byakugan lenses rotating in place.

With his new discovery, he could somehow tell if the trail is fresh and if the trail is dead or old. He then looked around to find more trails and stopped after looking at the bush 5 trees away to his right.

He then ever so slightly, hid himself behind the tree he is currently at away from the direct line of sight from the bush.

'Did he saw through me in this bush? Or was he just being cautious?' Three minutes later, Lara circled around the tree Silver was hiding in and was surprised to not find Silver at all.

She then had a quick look around but found no silhouette. Having no other choice, Lara cautiously walked into the tree Silver was last seen to look for trails.

'He was here a few minutes ago. But the same trail turned cold here as well. He must have noticed the trails he was leaving after observing after an extended amount of time. He learns fast indeed! Then this must mean he jumped from here to other-"

*swooosh* *swoosh* *swoooosh*

Three arrows hit Lara's camouflage shirt and nailed her to the tree. No blood dripped as only the shirt was hit by the arrows.

"You've been hunted." Silver announced as he left his hiding spot seven meters away from the original tree.

"That was a magnificent display of marksmanship and true hunting. You forced me to go to this tree by hiding from my sight and added an illusion that you left by climbing up. With that, I had to look up which lowered my guard for a moment. I congratulate you." Lara clapped her hands and then proceeded to take out the arrows that pierced her shirt.

"You could have avoided them, you know." Silver replied.

"I can, but I'm here to teach you how to be a good hunter. What you did was great, I couldn't allow myself to foil such a well-thought plan." Lara approached Silver and ruffled his long brown straight hair. "How'd you find me anyway? I was pretty sure I was well hidden."

"Hmmm. I think I activated and gained control of my eyes' Aura Nodes. With it, I can see much clearer than before and when I use it in conjunction with my Scarlet eyes, I can see trails as clear as day. I can see the steps I took earlier and this afternoon, the step the animals around took and your fresh footprints as well." Silver explained as he points at Lara's not so distinct trail in the ground with his fingers.

*bam*

"Awwww, what was that for?" Silver complained as he touch a bump on his head.

"Nothing, just feel like hitting you in a head. Come on, let's eat dinner to commemorate you becoming a bonafide hunter."
