Chapter 28: Treatment

Gon: "I'm still worried about Leorio and Kurapika."

Killua: "Forget about them, let's get a move on. We can still catch up to the examiner."

We get up and start walking, Gon stops and turns back. Guess he can't forget about them. Of course, he's Gon. He runs off without tell us. I'm not gonna stop him. Running more, we've made it to the group.

Killua: "Cool…We caught up to the main group. Where's Gon?"

Esther: "He ran off, probably to go check up on Kurapika and Leorio."

Killula: "That idiot! How is he supposed to get back here?"

Esther: "You don't need to worry. Gon can smell me from a few kilometers away. He'll be back."

But what's with this creepy feeling? I hear shouts that we're almost at the 2nd phase. Running a little more, we stop in front of a huge gate. The fog begins to clear. I hear a beep. Looking around, my eyes land on an applicant with weird sticks protruding from his face. He also feels dangerous.

Looking around some more, I spot number 44- I mean Hisoka, carrying Leorio. I freeze. As he places Leorio down on the tree, I become worried. I run up to them and see Leorio's face swollen. I turn to look a Hisoka with a questionable expression.

Esther: "What did you do?"

"Well, I brought him here."

Esther: "I mean, why did you hurt him?!"

Everyone turns to look at us. I'm too mad to notice. I pull out an ice pack, that's the 4th item today. Anymore will impact my performance. I place it on Leorio's face. Hisoka seems intrigued that I could stuff that in my sleeve and not have it melt. Killua runs up to me.

Killua: "Wow. What happened to his face?"

Esther: "He got hurt, and judging from the swelling. Possibly from a hard punch. Hold this ice bag for me."

Killua holds the ice bag on Leorio's face. I pull out a thin cloth and some tape. That's 6 items now. I feel my muscles moving much more slower.

Esther: "Pick up the ice pad. I'm putting the cloth on his face."

Killua: "Sure."

Killua removes the ice pad from Leorio's face. I place the cloth on his face and tell Killua to put the pad on again. I then tape it so that it doesn't fall off.

Esther: "That should do it for now."

Killua: "Seriously, just how much can you stuff in there?"

Esther: "I won't tell."

Leorio seems to be waking up. I can hear Kurapika and Gon approaching.

Gon: "Leorio!"

Leorio: "Ouch. Why am I all beat up? My memory is kinda hazy."

Kurapika whisperers to Gon about not telling him what happened.

Killua: "Gon."

Gon: "Killua!"

Killua: "I can't believe you actually got here. So Esther was right."

Esther: "You doubted me? HA!"

Gon: "I just tracked Leorio's cologne."

Esther: "See? Strong sense of smell."

Killua: "You definitely are weird."

"Excellent work everyone."

I can hear the moustache guy speak.

"Phase 2 of the exam will occur here, in the Biska Forest Park. So, I shall take my leave. Best of luck to all of you."

He walks off. The gates open. Everyone feels tense. As it opens, I see a huge mansion. And lots of space to run around in. There are two people. One is huge while the other has mint-colored hair.

"Will all applicants who passed the 1st phase please enter?"

The mint speaks.
