Oasis Respite

The oasis provided a serene refuge as Sophia tended to Ethan's wounds. The water's gentle murmur created a calming ambiance beneath the oasis trees, concealing the lurking dangers of the untamed wilderness.

Sophia put those secret thoughts behind her mind and focused on the task at hand. survival. and she needed Ethan to do this. Without him, she was lost and she knew it. She couldn't afford to make a mistake.

She located some water to clean Ethan's wounds carefully again and made sure the cut was not deep. He had been lucky the Alpha wolf did not cause more damage if not for his dodging abilities.

she kept looking at him, deep in thought, and she felt something she had not felt in a long time. Her mind was racing and she knew the last thing she needed was to get sidetracked. She had a mission to accomplish and will not be deterred.

Ethan looked at her and seeing her seethru underwear and bra made him blush. She had a very sensual body. Her bright blue eyes were behind all that filth. But now that she was no longer in that state, he immediately noticed her figure, her nipples were cutting through her bra. and her panties were wet from her swim and traced everything.

as he looked at her more, he noticed that she turned her eyes away from him after biting her lips, and now her nipples were even more erect.

He could not stare at her body for much longer otherwise her felt himself losing control and a bulge starting to grow more.

Sophia also noticed this and shyly turned away.

Ethan tried to steer the conversation away from this uncomfortable situation they found themselves in, as much as he wanted to keep staring at her illustrious body, they were still in the middle of the forest, with dangers all around them.

Ethan: "Sophia, I need to understand more about these androids. What are they, and why do they pursue us?"

Sophia's gaze held a mix of weariness and determination.

Sophia:"Ethan, we call them Seekers. They just appeared one day, attempting to gain control of the planet. No one knows where they came from. I've been evading them since childhood."

Ethan's brows furrowed. "Childhood? I've only encountered them twice, and both times, it felt like they were hunting me."

Sophia sighed, revealing the weight of her past. "My family lived in seclusion, away from the Seekers. They found us, and my parents sacrificed themselves so I could escape. Since then, I've been on the run. The Seekers are relentless. They never stop."

Ethan's eyes widened with realization."That's why you hesitated to come to the cabin with me. You've been avoiding them for so long."

Sophia nodded, a haunted look in her eyes. "Yes, and the cabin is the last place they'll expect us to be. But we need to be cautious. They're adaptable, and they won't rest until they find us."

Ethan absorbed the information, a mix of fear and determination in his eyes."How do they track us? And why are they so fixated on controlling the wilderness?"

Sophia hesitated before responding. "They track us through bio-signatures and any technology we might carry. As for their purpose, it's a mystery. They just appeared, relentless predators attempting to control the very ecosystem they were meant to oversee."

Ethan considered the information, resolute yet anxious. "We need to find a way to outsmart them. I won't let these machines dictate our lives."

Sophia, a survivor who had lost everything and everyone, nodded with a heavy heart. "I wish I still had the will to fight, Ethan. But after all these years, it feels like the struggle is never-ending. The Seekers are relentless, and I don't know if I can keep running."

Ethan and Sophia locked eyes, the weight of their shared experiences reflected in the depths of their gaze. They had fought off cannibals, wrestled with wolves, and narrowly escaped the relentless pursuit of the Seekers. The new world they had ventured into had already proven deadly, leaving them in a heavy silence, unsure of how to console each other.

In the quiet exchange of glances, words seemed inadequate. The scars of battles won and losses endured were etched on their faces. Sophia, once a determined survivor, now bore the exhaustion of a relentless journey. Ethan, a newcomer to this harsh reality, carried the weight of the dangers they faced.

As they sat beneath the oasis trees, the water's gentle murmur provided a semblance of peace, and an unspoken understanding passed between them. The harsh realities of their surroundings had forged a bond, a silent acknowledgment of the struggles they had faced and the uncertainty that lay ahead.

Ethan: "Sophia, do these Seekers have any weaknesses? Can they be destroyed?"

Sophia sighed, a shadow of uncertainty passing over her eyes. Sophia: "I don't know, Ethan. No one in the city ever managed it, or at least, no one survived to tell the tale. I've only heard rumors, and whispers among survivors who dared to challenge the Seekers. But it's risky, and many paid the price for seeking their weaknesses."

Ethan slowly absorbed all of this information. And for the first time since he woke up in the alleyway, he did not know what to do.

Hope everyone had a great new year. I am back with fresh cornea in my eye! still in healing process with some stitches in there, but its better now than pre-surgery. I couldn't see out of left eye, only blur but now I can and read.

Ive made some changes to the story, most notably the name change from Anya to Sophia.

Ive had many more stories cooking up and it will be getting more interesting.

This is the first novel I am writing so please be patient while it builds up. It will be worth the way.

I won't create as many chapters as before, since I started working in my full-time job and side job, family, and also this on top of the eye healing.

Stay safe everyone and have a great 2024!
