Chapter 222 : That Rat

Orion suddenly woke up at the middle of the night, he was currently sleeping in the room of requirement. Usually, this is what his daily routine goes like. He hardly sleeps in his own dorm. 

He put enough wards and illusion spells in his dorm that others don't notice him missing. And considering that he shared room with both Ron and Neville, he hardly believe that he needed those but still.

After coming back to Hogwarts, Orion tried to stay as low as possible. Dumbledore wrote a lengthy letter both to him and Professor McGonagall. 

To say that his upcoming days weren't pretty was an understatement. He got a year-long detention with McGonagall. Well, that actually worked out for him as he still wanted to learn more about Transfiguration so its was an opportunity for him rather than a restriction. 

So he wasn't actualy wasting time with her in the detention, but it also put a restriction on his movements. Now he has to spend at least 2 hours of his free time with McGonagall every day until the year ends. 

It align with his goal to learn Transfiguration but in the standpoint of him liking it, nah he was dreading this. He rather learns on his own at this time. But that was not so good idea, he saw it already in the last few months. His transfiguration though did improve by leaps and bounds but when it comes to the Law of Matter, he can't even do the basics. 

But that was nothing to do with why he woke up in the middle of the night. 

Today he plan to give visit to the Slytherin Dorm. This was time to finally get inside the minds of those little snakes and see where they are laying eggs.

'I mean what the F they are doing with all this dark magic and dark lord business.'

As he slowly get out of the room of Requirement, he slowly make his way through the Castle. 

Strangely almost all the dorm entrances are kind of a hidden door from other students. Though of course Students do tell them each others but for some reason finding were the door is hidden exactly is quite difficult for member of the other houses. 

Orion though was an exception of course, he easily by pass small concealing magic like those and can find where the entrance are. 

However entering the dorm is another thing altogether. Thankfully again Orion has his ways. He was able to bypass the door by just creating a portal. His portals can open inside Hogwarts and can help him bypass those doors. 

That was how he entered the Ravenclaw room. 

So here was Orion, making his way toward the Slytherin dorm in the night. This was the time when even the portraits and paintings, which are hung all over the castle, fell to sleep. 

With his natural night vision and concealing charm, it wasn't hard for him to sneak around the place. 

He even put a muffling charm on his legs to muffle his noise. So its imperative to say that at this time he was only hearing the constant snoring of few of the paintings from the hall and corridors. 

Nothing new to him actually, at first he found hearing this snoring and the sound of his own breathing echoing was creepy as fuck but now he has gotten used to it.

So even Orion was stunned a little when he heard footsteps coming in his direction. He was currently moving down from the 6th floor to the basement. After all that's where the Slytherin Dorm was. 

He was right now on the 2nd floor. The place where the dorms of the Hufflepuffs are. This sound he heard from the extreme corner. The place where the kitchen of the entire school is. 

But again its hidden from others, though not a restrictive section. A teacher or even a student can go there and ask for anything he like to eat and those house elves will gladly make it for him or her. 

Orion only occasionally came here, only when he needed something specific to add or remove from his diet. 

As he moved close Orion noticed the sound was getting muffled. Like whoever it was there stopped moving. 

'Did he learn of my presence ?' Orion pondered. 

'Nah, besides Dumbledore, who can do that? Even someone like Nick can't' Orion assured himself as he moved on further, only to see the hidden door of the kitchen opening for a second only for its to close right after.

'Nobody came out or went in ?' 

Though it wasn't a restrictive place but only a handful of people in the castle knew where the kitchen was, let alone the hidden door of the kitchen and this is why Orion was interested in the person. 

But no one came out or went in. This confused Orion until he heard a voice. 

'A mouse ?' 

Orion sighed, seeing only a mouse passing him by. Though he has no idea who the mouse opened the door but whatever. 

Spending so much time in Hogwarts have made him train his mind to not to quesiton whatever he see. Because most often then not, the answer is either, "Because its magic," or something outright idiotic and pointless "Because why not when we have magic.".

Just look at those moving stairs.

But then his mind snap as his mind race.

"Son of a ...." Orion didn't complete his sentence as he ran after that rat.

Orion open the gate of the Room of Requirment with a push. Finally he had the rat he was looking for so much in the last 2 year in his hands. 

Peter Pettigrew, was an absolute disgusting character in the show, someone Orion just wanted to push out of a valley or a death point or something. But unfortunately for him, he just couldn't get his hands on him. 

Ron lost his rat in the very first year and Orion couldn't even find the damn rat even with using ancient magic or the Marauder's Map.

He completely lost hepe to find the man in Hogwarts again. Mostly likely he ran away somewhere unknown or was taken by the likes of Serius, Aurors or Nick. 

But here he was, Orion immediately change his little plan of mind rap** little snakes and focus all of his attention at the Pettigrew. 

Tossing him in the room of requirment he said.

"Alright you have 1 chance to turn back into human Pettigrew before I start cutting off your limbs...." Orion said with a little grin forming on his face. 

He didn't wanted to agree but he gonna enjoy this.

Alright I have it, you guys wanted me to fix chapters especially after you guys point out mistakes, honestly I hardly get time but being a part of a good author demands that I do so. 

So from now on I will fix chapters after uploading them, especially once you guys tell me where the mistakes are. Will be doing so once a week, maybe on Sat or Sun.

So go bonkers when pointing out mistakes from now on. 

One more thing, I really don't have time to fix all of my fics but I will fix the fics which I am currently working on starting with Hero Time and followed by Magic Punk.
