The laborer's condition was starting to be more concerning, as if he was on the verge of losing consciousness at any second. His complexion was eerily pale, and he moved with agitation and paranoia, repeatedly throwing stealthy looks like a hunted prey.
Particularly, his nervous eyes were fixated on Mikael's direction.
'Why does he keep looking at me?' He questioned internally, feeling a knot of confusion and discomfort twisting in his stomach.
Bugged by his concern, he leaned over to Beth and whispered to her, "Beth, see what's going on with that person."
"Should I, my lady?" asked Beth, her brows furrowing with worry.
With a confirming nod from Mikael, Beth went ahead and obliged. She walked over to the troubled worker; her steps hesitant.
From the distance, Mikael observed, unable to catch their conversation, yet it was clear from the man's body language that he was claiming to be alright.
