Chapter 24
Wes goes with one of Ollie’s rarely initiated hugs and says in his shoulder, “Mica’s going to hate that.”
“Yes, she will,” Ollie responds cheerfully, not moving except to bury his face in Wes’s shoulder.
It’s times like these that Wes thinks there might be more to the bond or could be more. Wes finds Ollie’s arms more calming than any woman or man in his past, the strength of his character is awe-inspiring, and Ollie is to Wes easily the most handsome of them all. Even his smell is relaxing and everything hits Wes just right and—if Wes allowed himself the privilege—he could very easily fall in love. He’s halfway there already.
But it’s not in Wes’s nature to make that kind of a step and he won’t allow himself to fall fully.
