Lucas slightly tremble when he heard the word " Brother."

Since yesterday he was afraid of being called brother, especially by Adrian.

Yesterday Adrian repeatedly called him 'brother Lucas' to drop many bombs on him that he has developed some kind of fear towards the word 'brother'.

He thinks he had developed some kind of trauma towards the word "Brother".

He didn't want to turn around but when he heard a familiar voice calling him continuously he finally turn around to see some shadow rushing at him.

Lucas was startled.

Fortunately, Adrian quickly reacted and pull him to his side to prevent a crash but he noticed the supposed shadow was his little sister whom he hadn't seen for quite a while and she seems to be losing her balance because of Adrian's quick reaction.

He reached out to support his sister however, Hayden acted swiftly and catch her.

" Slow down tigress, " Hayden hold Luna's both shoulder to steady her.

" How could you rush like that, you not only put yourself in danger, you could have also injured your brother if brother Adrian hasn't helped her," Luna has just felt relieved when she heard brother Hayden chiding her.

Luna grunted in dissatisfaction but when she heard that her action would have hurt her brother her shoulder slumped like a puppy who was sorry for her wrong actions.

" Sorry, brother," Luna apologised looking gloomy.

" It's ok, I know you have missed me since it's been a while I have spent time with you and was excited to see me but you have to be careful. If Hayden hadn't helped you, all your dress and hair would have been ruined. So be careful next time ok," Lucas gently patted her shoulder helping Luna to understand her mistake.

He would have rubbed her head like always but thinking she must have spent a long time making her hair he let it go instead he tried to cheer his sister.

" Now don't be so gloomy and cheer up and let's have a blast today ok," Lucas smiled seeing his sister gloomy face.

" Well, one could dream," Hayden muttered under his breath. Thinking of the birthday person Hayden didn't think it was possible but he didn't ruin the atmosphere by saying it aloud.

Luna oblivious to Hayden thought finally looked at her brother properly only to be stunned.

Her brother who doesn't let others invade his personal space other than his family was carefully nestled in someone's arms. The young boy who was holding her brother was handsome and charming. He excludes mature and gentle aura despite looking the same age as her brother. But could feel the aloofness and alienness from him.

Despite his handsomeness and gentle aura Luna didn't like him a bit. She was feeling unhappiness seeing her beloved brother in that person's arms.

Luna composes herself and gently pull her brother out of that young boy's arms. She did it so naturally that nobody notices anything strange with her action.

Yet, Adrian feels something was wrong, his mood got down losing Lucas from his warm hug though he couldn't do anything to his future sister-in-law so he sucks all his anger and unhappiness instead he gives her a gentle smile.

Which only triggered Luna's unhappiness. This time twins and Hayden felt something was wrong with the atmosphere but Amelia who had been friends with Luna since their diaper days knew she wasn't happy meeting brother Adrian at all.

Amelia was sure if her friend knew this person she was disliking was the famous Adrian then her disliking would soon change into hate.

And the next series of actions proved she was truly Luna's besty.

Lucas who was oblivious to all this happily chat and finally introduce Adrian and the twins.

" Luna this is Adrian, Sebastian and Grace and guys this is my cute little sister," Lucas introduced his friends to Luna and pinch Luna's cheek as he introduced her to them.

When Luna heard the name Adrian and pointed at the person who had to hold her brother Lucas a minute ago her anger and dissatisfaction soared up to the sky.

She heard the name Adrian from her family many times and she also know that this person named Adrian was the cause of her brother's gloominess for a whole year.

" So the person who save my brother from his sister just now was the famous Adrian Hemsworth, Nice to meet you, brother Adrian," Luna gently greet Adrian but everybody could hear the unhappiness in Luna's voice.

Even Lucas frowned when his good and well-behaved sister talk like that but thinking they have just met he didn't ponder on the subject matter much.

" You look pretty cute my little sister," Lucas quickly change the subject not wanting to make the situation more awkward than it already was.

But the compliment was given seriously and said truthfully.

And Luna happily complied with this change.

Luna and Amelia were wearing exactly the same patterned dress with different colours, they were both wearing a lace sheer dress that is embroidered at the bodice, the half sleeve dress was perfect as a ball gown too. They both wear a maroon leather blazer over the dress since it was windy outside as it was mid-September.

Luna's dress was red whereas Amelia was of royal blue. Both look so cute and elegant.

Luna and Amelia both squeal and said thanks for the compliment and they all finally enter the party.

" Will mom and dad attend the party?" Lucas walked to Luna's side and both brother and sister began to chat In low voices.

Adrian who was left behind by his 1-month boyfriend was helpless but he didn't try to pry their privacy instead he began to listen to Hayden bragging about how tomorrow he will rock his monthly test.

" No, they said it was the post birthday party so we attending it was already enough but I heard our grandparents would come to show their face," Luna shrugged her shoulders while she mentioned the details.

She knows for some reason her parent's don't like their aunt's family and tried to maintain a suitable distance from them but thinking she also doesn't like her cousins, she didn't interfere much in this adult's messy world.

But when she thought about how Aunt was her dad's own sister, she sometimes fears that she and her brother's relationship would also eventually end up like their's in the future.

If in the future her brother also didn't her children's birthday saying busy. Heck, don't mention children if Lucas began to distance himself from her then her heart would break.

She knows there is more to her dad and Aunts relationship and she doesn't know the detail but if Lucas tried to abandon her then she knows she would be broken. so she was scared of this unknown future.

It shows how children become somehow uncomfortable if there is friction, the tussle or worse indifference between family members.

Luna unconsciously tightens her hold on the sleeve of Luca's sweater. Lucas was confused by Luna's behaviour but when he heard Luna's next sentence he couldn't help but gently smile at Luna and pinch her cheeks.

" Brother, will our relationship also become like our father and aunt in the future?" Luna worriedly asked while she hesitantly peeks at Lucas.

" Silly they are them and we are we, their relationship may have degraded because of many things which we didn't know about but that doesn't mean so will ours in the future. I for sure can guarantee that you aren't my aunt and I am not our father so chill ok. We would always be the best siblings ever even in the future," Lucas gently assure his sister.

He didn't want Luna to meddle in this adults problem and wanted her to carefree.

He already knows Luna doesn't like to associate with their aunt's family so he didn't want her to be involved with them now because of his careless remarks or anything.

Luna nodded her head in understanding, she gave tightly hug her brother's arm as she follow Lucas to the venue.
