“Quynh! wait!”
Even after hearing Noah calling out for me, I kept on marching ahead. The anger inside me was instigating more by hearing his voice. But I was not quick enough as he caught me just a few steps away from the building.
Struggling to free myself from his grip, I grumbled, “Noah, let me go!”
“Calm down. Why are you behaving so differently to me? Is anything bothering you?” he asked, not letting me go.
‘Yes, you and your so-called fiance are bothering me,’ I wanted to shout at his face, but I couldn’t.
“Why? Why would you do that?” I rumbled, shoving him.
He wobbled a few steps back until he balanced his body. “Did what? I was just protecting you,” he replied, trying to approach me again, but I took a step back from him.
“By insulting me in front of him. Wow! great!” I threw my hands in the air out of frustration.
“Quynh! What has happened to you? It is not the time to focus on such things.”
