Seeing her standing at the door, staring at us, I felt my soul leaving my body for a second.
“Oh! I am so sorry, I seem to appear at the wrong time,” Levi said, as she took a step back and closed the door.
Noah and I glanced at each other, both seeming to gain back their souls.
Folding my arms, I rumbled in disappointment, “You said she wouldn’t come here.”
Shrugging, he replied, “I don’t know. I really had no idea that she would appear here.”
“Whatever! You better watch your moves from next time,” saying I made my way out of the office.
Stepping out, I saw Levi standing beside the door.
“Levi, I am…”
“Are you done talking to him? Can I go in now?” she questioned in a calm tone.
I was totally not able to figure out what was going on inside her. As her expression was so calm and there was not even a small wrinkle of disappointment from seeing me with Noah. Still, her calmness gave me the feeling of a lull before a storm.
