Emily pov..
I sat on my bed, feeling my heart racing so fast that I couldn't tell what was really happening. Was I developing feelings again? I thought everything I had pushed away had gone. Why was this feeling trying to resurface now? I had tried so hard to keep it at bay, so why was it coming back?
Closing my eyes, I looked at myself in the mirror for a moment. I knew that I needed to be strong if I truly wanted to seek revenge. I felt sick. I wanted everyone to pay for the pain they made me feel. Just looking at Alpha Drake of the Crimson Pack bowing at the feet of a lady. Who would have known that I would become an Alpha and make the one who called himself my mate, then rejected me in the end, to kneel and kiss my feet?
I closed my eyes as tears stood up, then walked over to the window and stood there, staring outside. In this place, I missed all the fun I had here, but my life was ruined.
"Where is my son?" I asked my beta, who had been standing there for a long time as I turned to look at him.
"Your son is in the garden playing. You don't need to be worried; we have the maids watching over him," he replied.
I nodded as I looked back at the window and saw people starting to leave. Walking back to my bed, I sat down and then looked back at my beta.
"I will be taking some rest now; I am tired. Make sure my son is taken care of, and do not let anyone from the Crimson Pack, including the Luna, get close to him. I will be staying here for a while before heading back to the lycan Pack. You will also need to go to the Lycan pcak every morning to ensure that everything is in order. If anyone inquires about me, tell him or her that I am resting."
My beta nodded in agreement as he looked at me and then laid down on the bed. I watched him walk away and then turned my gaze to the ceiling, placing my hand on my chest.
"Are you really sure about this?" Nana asked as I closed my eyes, trying to hold back tears. Why was she asking that when she knew very well what I had been through all my life, all because I was trying to be the best Luna he had ever had? But what pained me the most was when he married Lia, who wasn't even his mate.
"I don't know, Nana, but if I don't fulfill my revenge, I might end up looking like a fool myself. I just don't know," I whispered as I wiped away the tears on my face, trying hard not to cry.
"It's okay, Emily, you have me. I also feel sad seeing our mate in such a state with a sorrowful expression. It seems like something is terribly wrong, as if he doesn't even love Lia. Maybe he misses us," Nana said gently, offering her support during this challenging time.
I closed my eyes and decided not to say another word. What was the point? Why should I care if he loves her or not? He has made his decision, and now it's time for me to make mine.
"Good night, Nana," I whispered softly as I allowed the darkness to envelop me, seeking solace and sleep in the quiet of the night..

The next day, I woke up and got dressed, walking out of my room to find my guards and maids already waiting for me at the door.
"Mommy," I heard my son say as I smiled and ruffled his hair.
"How was your night, dear?" I whispered, and he smiled before replying, "Mom, my night was great. I had a lot of fun, but you slept so early."
I smiled and planted a kiss on his forehead before saying, "Mommy felt tired and needed to sleep. Why don't you come, let's go have breakfast."
Walking down the stairs, I saw Drake waiting for me. As he noticed me, he walked over, but before he could offer his hand, I gestured that I could manage on my own. I walked past him and took a seat, noticing Lia sitting there without even looking in my direction.
"Morning, Luna," I greeted her, but she looked at me with anger and didn't say a word. I smiled and began to eat, observing Drake sitting close to me. I could feel his eyes on me, and for some reason, I felt like my heart was about to burst with emotions.
"Do you need help with anything, Alpha?" I asked him, but he looked away and didn't say a word. I glanced at Lia, who seemed to be lost in a silent battle with her food.
"I have decided to go back to my pack in a week. I'd like to spend some time at the Crimson Pack before making my final decision to return to my pack," I announced, seeing a hint of happiness on his face, though he chose to conceal it.
"That would be great, Alpha. Don't worry, I will guide you through it," he reassured me.
As I spoke, Lia appeared visibly upset. She shot a glance at me and then at Drake before walking away. I chuckled inwardly, I didn't say a word but instead carried on with my meal, she would be the first one I would teach a significant lesson to, especially since she was the one who initiated this tension in the first place.
I ate slowly, my gaze shifting to Drake, whose eyes were still fixed on me. I pondered how he would feel if he were to discover who I truly am, and I couldn't help but wonder what his reaction would be like, this time Emily is back for revenge.
