After Olive ran off because she kissed me, Nigel walked in. He was grinning and I knew immediately that Bella had told him what had happened. "Is it true?" He asked, still grinning

"What are you talking about?" I asked, feigning ignorance

He winked at me. "The kiss. You did not tell me you both are having a thing now"

"We aren't a thing yet. Did Bella tell you that?"

He chuckled and sat down beside me. "Did you finally tell her how you feel?. Did she tell you how she feels too?. I heard she kissed you first and then when she was about to pull away, you pulled her back. You..."

I groaned. "Hey!. Can you stop that? I can't believe Bella told you all that"

He frowned. "You haven't answered my question"

I rolled my eyes. "I don't owe you an answer to any question"

"Are you shy?" He asked

"Hey, I'm not shy"

"It seems you are". I wanted to say something but my phone rang. I checked the caller and it was Martin. I stared at Nigel who was also staring at me. "You should pick your call," he said

"No, there won't be a need for that"

The phone rang again but I ignored it. "Are you trying to avoid the call?"

"No, I'm not. It's not an important call"

"All your calls are always important. Why ain't..."

I smiled. "You don't have to worry"

He sighed. "Are you sure?. I mean are..."

"You don't have to worry, ok?"

He nodded. "Ok". There was silence for a while. I wondered why Martins had called. I wanted to know why but couldn't since Nigel wasn't ready to leave. I needed to make him leave. I yawned. "Are you ok?" He asked

I nodded and yawned again. "I need to sleep" I answered

"Are you trying to push me away?"

I frowned. "Excuse me"

"You heard me"

I groaned. "Get out!!! I need to sleep"

He frowned. "You..."

"Now!!"

He stood up. "You don't have to use that alpha voice of your over little thing. I'm leaving already"

I watched him leave and then sighed. It's a good thing he left. I quickly place a call to Martins. He gave me some details about how they found out I was the ruthless alpha. I knew I was betrayed but hearing it again got me angry. I hated the fact that I kept getting betrayed by the ones close to me even when I did not trust them fully. It was a surprise they knew my face even when I hardly open my face for them to see. Though I was so angry, I had to calm down and listen to what he had to say

I was lost listening to what Martins was saying that I did not remember the door was opened. When the call ended, I walked to my wardrobe to take my mask. I wanted to see myself in the mirror once more as the ruthless alpha. Though I had lost my mask in the forest, thank goodness had another one in my wardrobe. I brought out the mask and wore it. I stood in front of the mirror staring at myself until I heard someone say ruthless alpha. I knew immediately it was Olive but had to turn to be sure I wasn't being played by my heart.

I was shocked to see Olive starring at me. I pulled off my mask quickly. I was confused and did not know what to say. We stare at each other for a few seconds and I finally called her name. It came as a whisper but I guess she heard me. Cause she ran off immediately. I couldn't run after her. I could still feel pain. I dropped the mask on the table and sat down. Why didn't I lock the door?. Why did I have to bring out the mask in the first place?. Different thoughts ran through my mind as I wondered what she would be doing right now. I wished I could run after her but I couldn't.

I stood up from the bed and paced around. What if she tells it to Nigel and the rest. What if she begins to avoid me?. What if she is afraid of me?. I shook my head. No, she can't be. She isn't afraid of the ruthless alpha. Maybe she might be angry with me. I pushed my hair backward, frustrated this had to happen. Just when I thought we were getting along with each other. Why does this have to happen?

The door opened and Nigel walked in. I rushed towards him. "Why are you up?. Why do you look so stressed out?. Are you ok?" He asked

I nodded. "Have you seen Olive?"

"Olive?". I nodded. "Yes" he answered

"How is she?. Did she say anything?" I asked, curiosity written all over my face.

"No. Is anything the matter?. Is everything ok?"

I nodded. "Yes. I just want to know. It's been a while I saw her"

He stared at me suspiciously. "Are you sure?". I nodded. There was no way I was going to tell him what happened. But was also surprised she didn't tell him anything. "I think you should sit. You're bleeding already"

I placed my hand on my chest. I was so worried about Olive that I didn't notice my wound had opened up. I nodded and sat down. "Can you get the doctor please?"

He nodded. "Sure"

He turned to leave but I called him back. "Olive should not find out about this"

He stared at me for a while before he finally spoke up. "She won't find out"

Nigel left and I lay down on the bed, waiting for the doctor to show up.

Nigel, Bella, and Ella came to see me but Olive never showed up. I was so worried about her. I wished she would show up and let's talk things out. When I asked after her, I was told she had gone to the office for some important stuff. That was so unlike her. She had stopped going to the office since I came back. And when I asked her why she had stopped going to the office. She said she needed to be with me until I am back to my feet.

I was worried she left the packhouse because she doesn't want to talk to me. And when I tried to ask further questions on why she had left for the office, Nigel shun it off. He brought up a different topic. While they talked, I couldn't stop thinking about Olive. I knew I was busted already, and she might be so angry with me but I needed to see her and explain things to her. I don't know what I felt the need to tell her everything. I had never felt like this before.

I watched the rest and realized they had no idea about what had happened. At first, I thought maybe they knew but had pretended not to know but after a while, I realized they had not even the single idea that I am the ruthless alpha. Bella and Ella seem to be clueless but I was suspicious about Nigel. Though he wasn't acting different I could tell from the look in his eyes that he knew something but had decided to hide it from me.

After a while, Bella and Ella left. They said they needed to visit someone. I suspected that left so Nigel and I could settle our score. After they left, Nigel walked to the couch and say down. He picked a magazine up and stared at it. I could tell he wasn't reading anything cause he kept staring at the same page for a long time. I sighed. "Nigel" I called. He Ignored me or so I thought. "Nigel!!" I called and this time he answered.

He stared at me but took his gaze away immediately. Is he trying to avoid my gaze? I thought.

"W-what?" He asked, stuttering slightly.

I sighed. "We need to talk"

"I don't think we have anything to talk about" he answered

"Nigel, I know Olive has told you..."

"She did not tell me anything, ok?"

"She..."

"She told me nothing. Let it be that way"

"Nigel..."

He stood up. "I have tried as much as I can to pretend everything is ok. And I hope you will pretend everything is fine"

"Nigel..."

He sighed. "I'm leaving. I will come to check you later"

I watched Nigel leave and the door closed behind him. I groaned. I was right. She could not hold it to herself and had to tell Nigel about it. Nigel on the other hand pretended not to know, to pretend Bella and Ella from knowing. I punched the wall angrily. Why was I careless to let Olive find out about my secret. Now my secret isn't safe anymore.

I paced around. I need to see Olive at all costs. I need to know if she is angry with me. I need to know what she thinks. And let her know why I kept this away from her and everyone else. I picked my phone up and left my room. I headed for her room hoping she would give me a chance to express myself.

When I got to her door, I suddenly had a change of mind. I can't explain why I had to hide my identity. There was no point telling her that. I turned. I won't tell her anything but wait until she's ready to talk.
