Chapter 13 - To battle

"I can't catch a break anymore because of my damn mouth." Pushing the lionesses away from me, and the cubs playing with my tail and mane, I started to get up with obvious frustration. "Wait, why would I go fight?" I stopped short when that thought came to my mind.

"I've already fought enough with those filthy things, let the angels take care of it," letting out a soft growl, he laid me back down on the ground and, letting out another soft growl, the lionesses snuggled up against my body again and the cubs went back to playing with my tail and mane. "Sleeping surrounded by cats, it's not so bad," little by little my eyelids were getting heavier. "This is paradise," my eyes closed and I let sleep consume me.

Bang!

I frowned at another explosion, as well as feeling the lionesses getting closer to my body, along with the cubs with their bodies tense from fear. I could only ignore that, I didn't even get up and flatly refused to open my eyes. I just stayed lying on the ground to continue trying to fall asleep again.

Explosion!

"For fuck's sake!", angry, I stood up suddenly, shaking off the lionesses and cubs. "What the hell is going on for them to make so much noise?!", turning my eyes into those of an eel, I could barely see the scene that was happening several kilometers from where I was. "That doesn't look good at all," the scene was worse than I thought.

In the sky there were a little more than a hundred angels, but these had red spots with a white magic circle that served as a shield against attacks, and on the ground there were several angels lying down. While in front of them was a group of demons that easily tripled the numbers of the angels, who attacked them relentlessly. "I know it's not my problem, but I can't let angels die, much less because of some disgusting demons." Letting out a slight growl towards the lionesses, I began to run towards where the battle was taking place.

"Shit, I didn't know I had such tremendous speed." My speed in this mutation was so fast that it could easily outrun a normal car in a race, reaching a little over two hundred kilometers per hour. "Come on, faster," my eyes returned to their natural state as my body began to release electricity uncontrollably. "I need a stimulation to help me increase my speed." The electricity began to penetrate my body until it reached my muscles and began to stimulate them, causing my speed to increase, just over three hundred kilometers per hour.

"Now, let's go!" With my current eyes I could barely see what was happening around me as I was going at such a fast speed; I could barely even keep my eyes open. "I'm almost there, don't die," looking up from the road, with my eyes half closed I could see how the huge magic circle of the angels was destroyed so that the demons could then create a huge magic circle for a final attack. "Shit!" Increasing the speed with which I ran to the maximum power that my body could achieve, I almost managed to reach them just when the magic circle of the demons had been charged.

"It's all or nothing," taking a small jump, I charged my entire body with electricity and when my legs touched the ground again, it caused a strong overload under my feet with which I was launched with a strong speed towards the angels. "I did it," I could barely see when the enormous amount of magic was launched in my direction.

Bang!

In front of the angels, a strong explosion occurred, releasing a strong shock wave and a huge amount of smoke, which led them to cover themselves with their arms and those who no longer had strength only managed to close their eyes... Then, when they opened their eyes again and the smoke had cleared, their eyes widened as they saw the back of a huge creature, covered by a hard black skin with magma-like stripes and bone plates from head to tail, and even the demons were amazed to see the appearance of that monster that appeared out of nowhere, using its body as a shield for the angels.

"That really hurt, damn," I was barely able to cross my arms in an "X" to withstand the attack as much as I could. I had returned to taking the form of a humanoid Tyrannosaurus Rex with reinforced skin from the shell of the volcanic snail, which was completely destroyed in the area where it had received the attack. "I can't take this as a joke," uncrossing my arms, I looked at the demons coldly as my body began to generate electricity.

"I know," a demon's eyes turned to me, filled with a calculating and cautious look. The demon possessed armor that could be considered royal armor with a blue circle on the left chest, as well as having about five pairs of bat wings protruding from its back.

"Sitri?" When I heard that name, I felt like something didn't quite fit. "Where have I heard that name before?" I couldn't even finish thinking when a huge amount of water was thrown at me in the form of a dragon. "What a cheap trick," raising my fist, piercing the water dragon from its open mouth with a strong punch, shattering it.

"I don't know why you're helping us, but I'm grateful to you for protecting me and my brothers," I could barely catch the beautiful, weak female voice coming from behind me. Turning my head to see the owner of the voice, my eyes almost popped out at the sight of such a precious angel. She had a face that was literally made by God, beautiful long blonde hair almost like gold, a voluptuous figure that was barely visible due to the damage to her battle armor, and about six pairs of angel wings on her back. "Watch out!" I was so shocked by the beauty of that angel, that I didn't even notice the attack that was coming.

Bang!

A sharp pain ran through my arm as soon as I heard the loud explosion. "What the fuck?" Raising my affected right arm, I noticed that the reinforced skin that should cover my forearm had disappeared, leaving only my unprotected flesh. The skin hadn't been destroyed like the Phoenix's blow in its true form or the previous attack had; nor had it been charred like its flames had. It had literally disappeared. Clenching my fists, I turned my gaze towards the demons.

"You were right, Lord Sitri," said a demon who also had real armor but with a golden circle on his left pectoral. "The angels have a very strange creature that is helping them in this war."

"A Sitri is never wrong, Lord Bael," my eyes widen slightly upon hearing that name. 'Bael, another name that sounds familiar to me, but I can't remember where,' he silently observes as the demons regroup.

"Since we started to suffer small losses, I began to suspect that something was not right," said the demon with a blue circle on his left chest, to the demon with the golden circle. "And when the phoenix disappeared, my suspicions grew bigger." His eyes looked at me again. "That is why I decided that in this battle we will be three Lords with more than five hundred soldiers, to face the angels and thus discover that creature." His gaze lowered to the ground, seeing several dead demons. "Although we lost a Lord and almost two hundred soldiers in the battle against the angels, we have enough numbers to finish off this creature."

"The Sitri are certainly one of the houses with the greatest intellect," said the demon with the golden circle to set his eyes on me again. "Now we can kill one of the four Seraphim and, at the same time, the creature that killed the Phoenix."

"Kill me?" I couldn't help but let a mocking smile appear on my face. "Not even the immortal bird could kill me, how dare you think of such nonsense just because there are more than three hundred of you?" The tip of my tail lit up blue with a buzzing sound and then began to climb up the plates on my back until it reached my head. "It may not be an atomic breath, but, at least, it's something similar, try my, Electric Breath!" With that, a huge amount of rays came out of my mouth, just like when Godzilla threw his atomic breath.

"Predictable, Defense Mode!" the demon with the blue circle shouts, causing a huge blue magic circle to appear and receive the millions of volts without any problem. 'This will be a very, very annoying problem,' I didn't stop and even increased the intensity of the electric breath, only for nothing to change. 'This is different from when I fought the Phoenix; they do defend themselves unlike him,' my gaze lowered to the ground where there were a pile of demon corpses and land without animals. 'But still, I plan to win,' I changed the direction of my electric breath towards the ground, causing the demons to be blinded by the huge cloud of dust.

"Everyone who can use wind magic, use it to clear the dust!" A strong gust of wind blew away the cloud of dust with ease; when their vision returned, everyone was absorbed, as the huge creature had disappeared.

"Lord Sitri! There's a four-winged griffin here!", at the shout of a demon with the lowest armor, reached the ears of the others; everyone turned to see a griffin with two pairs of wings and its body covered in blue electricity in the center of the soldiers. "Too late, Electric Pulse!", with a loud shout, my body had released a huge amount of electricity, just like Godzilla did against Ghidorah, at the end of the movie.

"Damn it!"

"What the fuck?!"

"This hurts!"

All kinds of screams were heard from the demons. "This is just the beginning", flapping his wings with force, he took advantage of the confusion and paralysis he had inflicted on them to start flying as fast as possible to the highest in the sky. "I've always wanted to do this", closing my eyes, my body mutated again until it took a humanoid form with a layer of red fur covering my body. Little by little my body was losing strength as I continued to climb.

"I'm going to hit them with all my power so they feel the true essence, hahahaha." Twisting my body in the air so my vision is focused on the demons, I brought my hands to the side of my waist, leaving a hole between them. "Seven words," my body began to generate a fierce amount of electricity that focused only on the hole in my hands to create an electric sphere, causing it to grow rapidly only for it to compress back down to something smaller and so on several times. "Essence," I threw my hands forward, releasing a huge burst of energy that was even superior to my electric breath. "KAME HAME HA!"

I'm back! Honestly, it took me longer than I thought because I didn't know how to start the chapter, and I also lost all interest in the novel, but I'm back and with several ideas. Unfortunately, I started working, so the chapters won't be days, but I'll upload them as I finish them. So as always, see you in the next chapter, take care.
