Chapter 134 - Let's Inform Sona

Sirzechs is overprotective of his sister, but he hasn't reached the point of madness.

Naturally, he doesn't have the determination to destroy the world for his sister like Serafall. He just chooses what's best and most suitable for her from an older brother's perspective.

However, Sona's older sister, Serafall—the current Maou Leviathan—is different. Her love for Sona has reached the point of doting.

Even if Sona suffers a minor injury like a broken finger, if Serafall finds out, she'll cause a big commotion. If Sona were to die, perhaps there would really be a Maou who would destroy the world.

"Well, but what does this have to do with Kokabiel coming to Kuoh Town?" Irina asked with a puzzled expression upon hearing Rias's words.

Mahiro looked at her with concern, and the rest of the group also gave her strange looks.

"Did I say something wrong?" Irina asked weakly.

She really was clueless.

Mahiro sighed; he felt his explanation had been clear enough. 

But Irina didn't understand.

"Are you saying that Kokabiel's target is actually the younger sisters of the two Maou?" Xenovia frowned, thought for a moment, and replied.

"It's very likely," Mahiro nodded. 

"Otherwise, why would he, a Fallen Angel cadre, come to Devil's territory? Do you think Devil's territory can protect him and make the Church retreat?"

"Impossible!" Irina immediately objected. As a devout believer, how could they retreat just because it's Devil's territory?

"Should I feel honored? Being targeted by a great figure recorded in the Bible," Rias said, feeling a bit speechless. "Trouble just falls from the sky?"

She and Kokabiel had absolutely nothing to do with each other, yet just because she was the sister of Maou, this old monster came knocking on her door. 

If it weren't for these two church members telling her, she would have had no idea!

"What you've said is indeed reasonable, but we haven't received any instructions from the higher-ups; everything is just your inference," Xenovia said cautiously. 

Although she felt Mahiro's guess was likely true, she wasn't entirely convinced.

Xenovia gave Mahiro and Rias a deep look. "An inference at this level, without substantive evidence, can't make us believe what you've said. Besides, you belong to the Devil faction; we really have no way to completely trust you."

"For all we know, this could be an excuse to confuse us and seize the Excaliburs."

The two of them came to Kuoh Town with the goal of recovering the Excaliburs, or at worst, destroying the stolen ones. 

If the Devils took away the two Excaliburs they possessed, they would become sinners of the Church.

"Excaliburs, huh? They're really good things..." Mahiro glanced at their swords with a half-smile, immediately making Irina and Xenovia tense up, as if facing a great enemy.

"Although they're good, they're just defective products and can only be used as toys," Mahiro shook his head and looked away. 

If it were the complete Excalibur, it might be comparable to a Longinus. However, the defective products forged from fragments only have the holy power that's particularly effective against Devils and some versatility in function. There was nothing that impressed Mahiro.

"Defective products? Toys? Hey! You actually look down on my Excalibur Mimic! Do you want to try it and see how powerful it is?" Irina suddenly cried out in disapproval, standing up with an inclination to challenge Mahiro.

"Irina!" Xenovia grabbed Irina, who was about to lose her temper. 

"Since you look down on our Excaliburs, that's fine. We don't have to worry about them being taken by you."

Although she said this, there was still a hint of vigilance in her voice, and her grip on Excalibur Destruction tightened.

"Don't worry, we really have no interest in the Excaliburs," Rias said calmly.

"Good," Xenovia nodded. 

"We'll consider your suggestion, but let us give you an answer after contacting higher-ups"

Of course, this was just a perfunctory statement. Their task was urgent. If the higher-ups of the Church were really that efficient, it wouldn't be just the two of them who came to Kuoh Town.

"Feel free to contact them," Rias said carelessly.

If what Mahiro said was true, the Church's answer was no longer important.

GURGLE—!

Suddenly, a strange sound echoed. Rias and the others looked at Irina and Xenovia; the sound came from their stomachs.

"Sorry, we were in a hurry, so we didn't eat," Xenovia said without changing her expression.

Irina couldn't be as calm; she blushed and lowered her head.

"If that's the case, I won't keep you," Rias nodded. "Akeno, see them off."

"Yes, President," Akeno replied with a smile.

"Then we'll take our leave," Xenovia and Irina stood up and prepared to depart.

Akeno escorted the two out of the old schoolhouse. She had originally wanted to see them out of the school, but they refused. 

After all, they were Devils, and the two didn't want to appear too friendly with them.

Rias stood by the window, watching as Irina and Xenovia walked toward the school gate.

"What do we do next?" Rias looked at Mahiro.

"Let's inform Sona first. Kokabiel's target is probably the two of you. There's no danger when you're with me, but Sona doesn't know," Mahiro said.

Although he wanted to find Kokabiel and eliminate him directly, there was no way to locate him. 

He wondered if Irina and Xenovia could be used as bait to lure Kokabiel out.
