"What is the light that pierces through the darkness? Let me show you, Third-rate." With a calm demeanor, Chiyuki gently placed her slender, white finger on the card [Excalibur]. "Are you ready, Artoria?"

Faced with Chiyuki's sudden change in personality, Artoria was momentarily stunned. However, seeing the burning determination in Chiyuki's eyes, her confident smile replaced the initial surprise. "Ready whenever you are, master."

"Activate [Excalibur]'s special effect."

[Excalibur: ③ Can only be used once per duel. Send all cards in your hand to the graveyard, and the equipped monster's attack power increases by [number of cards sent to the graveyard] x 100. Then destroy all opponent's monsters with attack power lower than the equipped monster's. The equipped monster cannot attack during the turn this effect is activated.]

Without hesitation, Chiyuki sent all her cards to the graveyard.

"Chiyuki..." Mai Valentine watched worriedly as Chiyuki discarded all her cards. Giving up all her hand cards was a true all-or-nothing gamble. If this attack didn't achieve its intended effect, Chiyuki would be left with nothing.

"Since I sent 4 cards to the graveyard, Artoria's attack power increases by 400." As the cards were sent to the graveyard, the golden light from Artoria's holy sword grew ever brighter.

"As one of the ultimate man-made weapons, crystallized within the planet as 'the strongest fantasy,' Excalibur, feel its power." Chiyuki's calm words were like a proclamation of her victory, befitting the name of the holy sword.

However, Scar Man thought otherwise. "Hahaha, this girl thinks 3900 attack points is higher than all my monsters and threw away her entire hand. My victory is certain now."

"She didn't expect my [Dark Emperor] to have an attack power of 4000! Chiyuki Hoshino, you're finished!" Scar Man silently calculated.

Both convinced of their victory, they stood like light and darkness about to clash. Would the thick darkness swallow the light, or would the hopeful light pierce through the darkness? The outcome hinged on this turn.

"Let's go for it, Artoria!"

"Yes, master!" Gripping the light that pierced the heavens, Artoria roared and swung the holy sword down.

"You miscalculated, Chiyuki Hoshino! My strongest monster, [Dark Emperor], has an attack power of 4000. Although it's only 100 points higher than your Artoria's, you still lose!" As the holy sword struck, Scar Man finally laughed wildly. "After all your grand words, light still loses to darkness!"

Standing in the light, Chiyuki remained unmoved by Scar Man's taunts. Instead, she roared with a force greater than before. "That sword embodies the noble dreams of all soldiers who have died on the battlefield, holding onto those hopes in their final moments. Such will deserves honor, and such faith must be upheld."

"What are you saying? Don't you realize you've lost?" Overwhelmed by Chiyuki's presence, Scar Man, who believed victory was in his grasp, felt a twinge of fear.

"Now, the ever-victorious king declares the true name of this miracle in her hand!" The golden light lifted Chiyuki's flowing hair, pushing back the darkness.

"And that name is—Excalibur!" With Artoria's triumphant roar, the golden light from her sword split the sky, banishing the darkness. Though it was the dead of night, it shone as bright as day.

"This is it! This is what I wanted to see!" Pegasus clenched his fists in excitement as he watched the golden light on the screen. "Chiyuki Hoshino truly possesses such power."

"With Chiyuki's power, I can see you again, my wife..."

"Yugi, look over there!" Jounouchi pointed urgently towards the beam of light piercing the forest.

"That's Chiyuki. She must be there." For some reason, Yugi was convinced that only Chiyuki could create such a light.

"Let's go. Chiyuki must be in trouble." Despite her exhaustion, Anzu rushed towards the light.

"This can't be happening! No way!" Scar Man pounded the table in disbelief as his [Dark Emperor] was engulfed by the light. "You must be cheating! My [Dark Emperor]'s attack power is higher!"

"Someone as coward as you is afraid of cheating?" Chiyuki stood triumphantly in the light. "Don't lump me in with third-rate like you. Look closely at Artoria's attack power."

"It's actually higher than my [Dark Emperor]? How?" Scar Man couldn't comprehend the sudden increase in Artoria's attack power.

"That's why I said you're nothing but a third-rate, Dark Duelist." Chiyuki's mocking tone rubbed salt in Scar Man's wounds. "If it were Mai, she would have figured it out."

Mai Valentine smiled from the stands, looking up at Chiyuki in admiration. "You really did it, Chiyuki. You calculated everything perfectly."

"Did you forget how many [Heroic Spirit] monsters I had in my hand, old man?" Chiyuki's words awakened Scar Man to the truth.

"You mean... it can be like that!" Scar Man looked at Chiyuki in disbelief. To execute such a combo in this situation, how strong must her mind be?

"I originally had two [Heroic Spirit] monsters in my hand. After summoning Spartacus, I had one left. [Excalibur]'s effect increases attack power by 500 for each [Heroic Spirit] monster on the field or in the graveyard. When I activated the third effect, discarding all my hand cards, the last [Heroic Spirit] monster also went to the graveyard. So, Artoria's true attack power increase was (4 cards x 100) + 1 [Heroic Spirit] x 500 = 900 points." After her explanation, Chiyuki made a cutting gesture across her throat. "In conclusion, you're finished!"

"Such brilliant calculation, master." Artoria sheathed her holy sword after obliterating the opponent's monsters and the surrounding darkness. "However, I can't attack this turn. So, it's up to you, Spartacus."

"Oh! Oppressor ahead, feel my love!" With the obstacles cleared, Spartacus eagerly charged towards the Dark Duelist.

"I told you, anyone kicked by Spartacus ends up dead." Gently raising her right hand to cover her eyes, Chiyuki peeked through her fingers with a look of pity.

"How could I be defeated by such a small fry? Ahhhhh!" Scar Man wailed as he faced Spartacus's onslaught.
