Battle Ground

In the fields of colossal, two armies were about to clash. Silver armored soldiers could be seen holding large square shields as they marched from several lines of square formations. These soldiers are the famous legions of the custodian they have defended their country many times and also

Expanded their fame for the past decade.

On the opposite of the battlefield, the army of the elves consisted of a coalition of different types of elves they were unitedly halted there to expand their kingdom.

"A great Day for the battle isn't it you're highness" a young man shouted inside the camp of the 4th prince.

Delvin the 4th prince looked at the man who was smiling excitedly, his right hand and the childhood friend of Delvin his name was Allen Eurydice, he's a twenty-one year old has short blue hair and is the bastard child of Eurydice noble family, a powerful patrician nobleman in the custodian.

When he was born in Eurydice family no one much valued him except his mother but his life is unpredictable when he was seven years old he was sent as prince's aid, he was a bastard child so anyone didn't have expectations for him, but still, the child prince treated him well that was the day he swore to protect and aid his prince.

After few years he was awakened as Ice mage with extraordinary skills many factions wanted to recruit him even the lord of the Eurydice family his father called him to be the Mage commander of the Eurydice Magic squad. But Allen firmly refused all the offers and jobs and become the right-hand man of Delvin.

"Yes, It is" Delvin responded while looking at Allen.

Their mission was to defend the west wall from the elf army. As they discussed the battle plan and other things both of them went out of the camp. Looking towards the soldiers they've finished their preparations.

The soldiers formed several neat lines of square formations with even spaces in between to allow the reserves or mages to support them.

The soldiers seemed to be split into their respective cohorts on the battlefield. They were standing firmly holding their swords or spears most of the people didn't have shields as they had mana barriers. They were waiting for the signal to move forward and attack the enemy as they gazed at the army of elves marching towards them steadily.

After observing the other side Delvin final gave the signal at the same time sounds of trumpets blowing echoed at everyone's ears as the signal to start the battle. The 32,000 soldiers marched towards the 50,000 elves.

'Being outnumbered in this battle will be a disadvantage but I know we will win' as he thought he smiled with confidence.

East Wall

13,000 soldiers clashed with the huge army of 46000 elves it was under the control of the 4th princess they have to defend the east side of the city.

"Arches nock your arrows and wait for my command!" the enemy commander ordered the elf archers.

The archers nodded as they raised their bows aiming towards the sky, waiting for the enemies to be in the firing range.

The earth shook as the two armies collided and the sound of screaming men as they roared at the enemies to show their might and dominate them, even facing such a large no. of enemies they were not afraid, the strict training that they received when they were recruited made them have a stronger will than any other normal men.

'It is time' as she thought she gave the signal to the woman beside her.

"Retreat! Fire mages launch your attack!!"

As the soldiers heard the command they quickly retreated, the next second huge flames danced on the battleground.

"Fire Ball"

"Flame Field"

"Combustion"

All the mages used their best spells.

"Boom...Boom...Boom"

Many elves were caught in the attack and died but in a huge battle like this, some sacrifices can't be avoided.

Sharp arrows passed through the smoke and reached the army of mages...

"Mana Barrier" "Shield"

Even though they activated their defensive spells it was only a Flutie the sharp arrows were also embedded with magic.

In few minutes the place was full of blood and dead bodies as the intense war continued.

2km away from the city walls a large scale battle was taking place every second people died be it elves or humans the battleground was painted red even before the end of the battle.

In the middle of the battleground to people fiercely fight even the surrounding soldiers gazed at the battle from time to time while dealing with the incoming enemies.

"BOOM"

A loud boom created when the axe of Althea and the sword of the first prince collided. Both people fighting now are the first prince and Elf queen basically who wins this battle will have a higher chance of winning the war.

Adam leapt in the sky when he was in mid-air, he directed his sword to give a heavy blow on the opponent as he started to descend.

"BBOOMM"

Once again a loud sound resounded on the battlefield it was louder than last time. After launching the blow adam quickly retreated and waited for the smoke to subside.

"Truly worthy for being next king," althea said as she puked some blood.

"Don't talk RUBBISH!!" as he yelled he rushed to give another blow.

"I will take you seriously this time," althea said and opened her arms towards adam, suddenly a small dark-red beam came out of her hands.

"Flame Pierce"

It was so fast if there was any other person other than adam they will surely die even the 2nd prince or 4th prince can't block this he quickly activated his defence.

"Guardian Shield" was the ultimate skill of royal descendants they will inherit it from their father, a manifestation of golden shield appeared before adam.

BUT

"Ahh..." a hole appeared on his right arm if he didn't evade the beam just now, the hole will have appeared on his heart.

The scream only lasted for a second he endured the pain and held his sword in his left hand as the feature king there is no way he will lose his dignity and submit to the enemy.

"Hehe... Your quite tough one" as she prepared to kill her white flag was risen in the sky replacing the custodian flag.

The prince was shocked and was in rage his blood boiled to kill the enemies but they have admitted the defeat and the battle will not continue they have to erase the Ifer territory from the colossal state.
