6. Chapter 6(2)

"Um, I am off that day," Maya said, trying to concentrate, "Car?"

"I'm off that day too," Carina said, having also pulled up her schedule.

"Let's do morning," Maya said, "I don't want to wait all day."

"Ok," the receptionist said, getting them set up with a 9 am appointment, Maya and Carina leaving.

"Do you know what that day is?" Maya asked as they walked toward the car.

"Um, I don't…Merda, is it the day I got my diagnosis last year?" Carina asked, realizing that was coming up soon.

"Yeah," Maya nodded, "I don't know if I want to have our appointment that day. Maybe I should go change it to the next day. That is a bad day."

"Hey, no," Carina said, shaking her head, "That day doesn't have to be bad. Maybe it will be different this year. We aren't going to let what happened last year dictate what is going to happen this year. I don't want us to have to wait an extra day to find out if this worked or not. Let's leave the appointment."

"Fine," Maya said, leaning against Carina's chest, feeling her wife wrap her into a hug.

"Now, let's go home and rest," Carina said, pulling away, "For the next two weeks, you are pregnant until proven otherwise and I plan to treat you as such."

Maya nodded, trying hard to be optimistic about this transfer but feeling very anxious that it wasn't going to work.

What did you think? Do you think this transfer worked? I am hoping to start writing the next chapter of this story today or tomorrow, my last two days of my break between semesters. I start school again on Saturday (because grad school is evil and doesn't think we deserve weekends) and I am in 100% masters classes this semester and need to start studying for my boards so I have no idea how that are going to be so if I drop off my updates, that's why. But I'm hoping that isn't the case. Anyway, thank you all so much for reading, commenting, and leaving kudos. I love hearing what you think about this story.

Follow me on Twitter musicgirl1120 if you want. I sometimes update how my writing is going over there.
