It was cold and slightly dark as it was only the early hours of the morning and the sun was yet to rise. Amari woke up and as she turned, she gasped, slightly startled, and then she relaxed as the face of the other person sleeping soundly in her room beside her came into view.
Turning towards him, her hands reached out to touch the part of his chestnut brown hair that had fallen on his face, ruffling it with her fingers. He woke up and she smiled at him.
"Couldn't stay away, huh?" she asked him. He smiled, sitting up.
"No, I couldn't," he muttered, his hand reaching out to touch her face, caressing one cheek.
"I think I solved the riddle of the crow. Well, the most part of it," Amari muttered and Nathan's expression turned solemn.
"And?" he asked.
"It is Stephanie," Amari's voice came out quiet.
"You sure?" Nathan asked.
"Well, I don't know. The part about a transparent enemy rules out Kara, transparency has to do with water," Amari tried to explain.
