The atmosphere in the sitting room was so tense as two teenagers engaged in a glaring contest. The two teenagers were Amari and Stephanie.
Suddenly a light smile curved Amari's lips. "Actually, my mom died and that technically made me the judge of this special circle just like she was judge in her special circle," were Amari's unbelievable words. A scoff escaped Stephanie's throat as she took a step closer to Amari, and then she chuckled.
"That was actually a rhetorical question but you Amari, you actually gave me a reply," she muttered, shaking her head as she spoke.
Amari just rolled her eyes at Stephanie, and then turned to Nathan.
"We should go. Your mom said to be back to help her make dinner," Amari muttered, and then started for the door.
